Must win tonight in my opinion. We need to get ourselves right into the thick of this group, tonight is the night to do it. Lazio are bang out of form and are not great anyway if we are honest. We need to get on the front foot early on and get ahead. We are long overdue a CL home win, it has to be tonight.

Thought Lazio looked decent at the beginning of the season but they’ve majorly lost form. Think they’re definitely beatable tonight.

We are not very good at the moment, they are apparently, by their standards, not very good at the moment. Maybe levels it out a bit but still a big ask for us, with this team to get a win.

 

We have a horrendous euro record in the CL, hopefully today is a turning point.

 

The wingers have to protect our wing backs, GT will be our weak point down the left hand side, hopefully GT has a brilliant game but he always worries me.

 

I'm nervous as I would be for any European game, but a win is definitely possible. My main concern is it feels like we're struggling to create a lot of chances at the moment, so we need Kyogo and co to be clinical with what we do create.

It's the wingers for me, we're massively down on last year in that position. Maeda has to start and it will be as a winger, since Rodgers won't drop Kyogo as the CF, so the other winger has to provide the creativity and genius. We miss Jota so much. Yang can beat his man but doesn't seem to have much end product so far and runs into cul-de-sacs IMHO. Palma has already shown he has an end product; but have we seen him beat his man yet?

I'm interested to see how Rodgers sets up to deal with this. FWIW, I'd play Maeda up front and either change formation completely and play with 2 strikers or (more likely) drop Kyogo to the bench. I can't see him doing that, though.

 

Does anyone in Scotland (or rest of U.K.) have the US paramount plus on a vpn? Seems a relatively cheap way to get the CL games, but I’ve never used anything that before…so I have no idea how complicated it is or if it’s even worth it?
