Oh Hyeon-gyu

Think he needs more game time to see if hes any good.Maybe drop maeda (not scoring enough considering the chances he gets) and give oh a run and see how he gets on.

 

For me, he weakens the tempo of the team when he comes on.

 

He needs proper game time to see what he can do.

Can't just judge from 10 mins here and there.

 

We deffo need another option but I do like him..

Nothing big but I did like some of his touches yesterday, although outside the box. Just needs to get and take his next chance..

Maeda is clearly gonna be played on the wing for a while anyway and 2 strikers isn't enough for a club with as many games as us..

 

I think when he gets the chance he'll be fine.

 

He’s never had a run of games since he got here for obvious reasons. Must be so difficult

 

His header against Hibs was first class. There's a few on here so eager to stick the boot in some of our players man. His attitude is good, works hard and gives us another good option.

 

gotta feel for him - if he had a run of games he would definitely score a few but he's just not going to get that with Kyogo around (unless he gets injured) however, he needs to start popping up with a couple of goals off the bench like GG did.

Folk saying we need another option. If it's not Oh or Kyogo, surely it'll be Maeda? That's where he plays for Japan and where he often played in the J-League.

 

I hope we don’t have to rely on him as our CF.

we'd need another option instead of Oh, not in addition to. Think he deserves the season to show what he can do.

 

Definitely get someone better. His only attribute is his ability to run all game at a very high tempo. Unfortunately for him, and us, he is very poor with the ball at his feet which is really a prerequisite for being a good footballer. He will have moments like the goal at Livi and Hibs when we are all astonished he has scored such a goal. However his good moments with the ball, are very few and far between. I love his work ethic etc and he is excellent at keeping a full back in his own third, of that there is no doubt. People say he’s great for hitting teams on the break, that would be true if he found a teammate with a pass or a cross, which invariably he does not. Decent enough squad player I suppose.

 

We don't know if Rodgers has permanently given up on using Maeda as a striker, or not. If he hasn't, there's a chance he views him as option no. 2, above any target man we may have or buy. In which case, replacing Oh won't be easy, if you want better. Who would come and be the 3. striker here?

 

What was he doing for that layoff out to Yang?

Horrendous man..

 

It was bad, but I do also feel for him a bit getting thrown on in the 88th minute. Hard to make an impact.
