Nearly. I'm certainly not his biggest fan but wee things like are making me warm more to him.

A league title and maybe 6 points in the CL group stage would certainly promote him to Brendan

All things considered, I'd say quite good. Not top gear yet but definitely a decent performance.

You have to account for that awful pitch and Livi's low block when assessing the game. There were lots of bobbles and occasional stray passes.

However, I felt we were definitely threatening on the ball. We got into their third a lot and while we weren't battering their goal we were getting chances and openings.

The fact we seemed to get better with 10 men is testament to Rodgers' ability to change things tactically. I've always felt that's a strength of his.

Hearing the wee guy just wanted to tell Rodgers he’s been a breath of fresh air.

Rodgers told him as long as I’m here, you’re here wee man.

I'm at a loss here. I thought I could pretty much read when he is bullshitting and when he is being genuine.

Watched almost every Celtic game? Sure you did, Brendan.:87:
Excited to develop young players? I actually do believe you there, Brendan. :50:
Could never understand why anyone would leave Celtic? Pfff... deary, deary me. o_O
Frustrated with the transfer window? Yeah, I think I can probably buy that. :50:
Know all about what a great player Yoto was for us? Er... :97:
    Etc.

This, though? I've honestly got no idea. Was this genuine or just opportunism? I haven't got a clue. :39:

Pretty good, mate. The passing was quite fast and accurate for that surface, decision making was better, created chances, comfortable even with 10. Taylor was actually good again, Maeda was like 2 players and O'Riley had engaged 'beast mode'. I'm still buzzing from that.

These tickled me. I don't have much talent for this kind of humour, but it could be fun to turn this into a competition... see who can come up with the best one.

He has the league clued. This is why I wanted him back. Required some stability after ange maybe nit necessarily the most exciting, young and interesting appointment some wanted.

However, it may be a hypothetical situation but I genuinely do not see Iraola, Knutsen or Faoraoli getting the 3 results at Pittodrie, Ibrox and Almondvale that he's had.

Definitely getting there slowly. He's a great tactician and isn't afraid to make changes to his style and that's one thing I really enjoy. I trust him to read a game and react.

Win next week and we are almost out of a tough start to the season league wise, with players to come back.

I don't disagree with any of that, I just want to add that he actually also has the best European record of any of our managers in the past decade. I didn't realise it, because I tend to remember things like PSG at home; but whether you go by points, coefficient points or successful qualification, he has the best record.

I also agree. He was handed a tough deck both times in the UCL last time as well.

And clearly not backed sufficiently...which may well happen again.

Tell you something, the reaction tactically and personell wise going to ten was noticeable, and it’s something we seen the first time round with him in the 3-2 game.

Our players know what we’ve to do if we lose a man. Sometimes forget how * meticulous BR actually is as a manager

As others have said, we benefit from having a manager that can adapt things tactically. Everyone loved how Ange played but sometimes we needed to be more pragmatic and Brendan isn't afraid to throw out Plan A and come up with something on the fly. Today was a massive result given our history against Livi and the sending off and the manager deserves the praise as much as the players.

Not even gonna comment on that "look at me I love the fans" opportunism...

BUT, he's slowly winning me over to acceptance that he's our manager.

I said when he rejoined I'd judge him after two seasons and I stick by that, as Europe will be the real acid test of whether it was the right decision.

Shelby has said that he couldn't see Iraola or Knutsen get these results but that's immaterial imo. Ange had a "poor" start but the long game was there for all to see, and those managers would've been given time.

In the long run, any manager at Celtic losing a league to that Sevco outfit should be chased, so if we win the league this year I won't be Randy Marshing over Rodgers. It's expected. We're already out of the league cup and have been beaten in our first CL fixture.

I still reserve judgement on him, but the Sevco win and some improved performances with so many players out is pointing the right direction.

The plan when being a man down should be our plan A in Europe. Domestically, too. We didn't force play to go carefully from one player to another. we went long, and ran at the opposition. Slow build-up just leads to a traffic jam, not a climax.:56:
