I said this elsewhere. Certainly away from home like tonight I'd have played him wide left.

Play him wide or Kyogo in the no.10 with Oh ahead of him. We definitely need to start experimenting in Europe because the current set up isn’t working.

That's fine, but there's an argument for playing him wide right. There, he can be found by Taylor easily, even if Greg is staying back and not overlapping. Johnston is more mobile, and he wouldn't need to be "wasted" on the duty of just staying put and finding Oh.

It would be our rendition of the famous Flo pass, and deadly not just in Europe, but in Scotland, too. A Livingston lining up 10 men behind the ball would suddenly find their lines bypassed and trouble right in the final third, as a big, angry Korean soldier easily deals with their LB and plays in onrushing O'Riley, Hatate or Kyogo in the box.

Cue SMSM spewing how we are playing "turgid" football, and raging because suddenly, bunkers get blasted open by brute force.:56:

Isn't easy as he's getting limited minutes but that chance is exactly the type of chance he has to be taking..

Was a really poor finish. Should at the very least be hitting the target and from that close in, with that power....the keepers never saving it..

Difficult with the lack of game time but jury defo out for me..

Think we'll definitely sign a ST in January, especially with the Asian Cup.

I think there's a player there, but lack of game time is a problem for him.

All I’ve ever seen from oh is that he works hard… ultimately for me I think he’s a very limited player. Night and day between him and big GG. Might just need more minutes but tbh he should be making more of his chances

He’s got a lot of qualities and is a great option to have, but he’s definitely lacking confidence in front of goal, hopefully he gets one soon and that’ll kick him on.

Hes big, got good control and touch. Yet has zero natural scoring instinct. Big GG never had the touch at times but he has that instinct to poke that ball in the mele of men and score. He's very young though so may take time and confidence.

No seen the game today cos I was up seeing my bro in hospital but having thought about this then imo it's a bit unfair to compare him to GG. We signed GG coming into his peak, he was hardly banging in goals prior to Venlo then us. Oh is definitely worth persevering with.

It’s always natural we compare our new no. 2 rotational striker to our previous one. Even if oh will come good we’d rather players who can come in and instantly be as good or contribute near enough the same… might still need time but I think the difference is clear as of right now and I think we need to bring another striker of better quality into the squad january. Hope your bro is okay aswell btw mate

It's a bit daft the lack of patience some people have for Oh while comparing him to GG, of the two players Oh has had a better start to his Celtic career, there were rockets on here that wanted GG sold and someone else bought in the january window after he just arrived because he'd barely kicked a ball for us that first half of the season, short memories.

The only way to improve his confidence is giving him game time, feel sorry for him as he must be frustrated with 15 minutes here and there.

Yeah I probably should have added we need another striker to come in and get up and running quickly while we develop Oh. As far as project players we can develop though I think Oh is and will go on to be a very good addition. So very happy with his signing overall so far.

Cheers mate I appreciate that. He's got internal bleeding so he'll be in hospital for possibly another week. But he'll get better.

How was the game today anyway? Ive only seen the goals posted on here.

When GG was here, people complained about his hold-up play and passing. Now Oh is being slightly written off because he doesn't score in cameos. I get that strikers must score, but Oh also needs starts to get sharper in front of goal. In any case, he can offer a lot as a supporting striker in Europe.

You'd forget he isn't even here a year and has had two different managers in that time in a very different culture. I think he will come good just have to keep giving him opportunities

Wouldnt be suprised if we go back for van hoojidonk.

Asain cup or not we need another striker. Oh is miles off it. Doubt he'll actually be called up for Asain cup anyway
