Not blaming tonight on the boss, I will say though that his insistence on playing out from the back is crazy, especially when it's through two rookie centre-halves. Whatever, that's now what lost us the game.

Yep for 1st 45 it was generally OK. Lack of quality on the park isn't down to him.

As is often the case individual errors * the game plan.

Not a chance he came back here knowing what our business would be like.

Can’t help but feel he’s been shafted by the board again.

He'll be absolutely raging about that tonight for multiple reasons. He set us up well though, gives me a bit of hope going forward in the group.

I still have more confidence in him in Europe compared to Ange.

Tactically I think he's learned from past mistakes. Certain players * him tonight.

Aye, anybody blaiming him for tonight are deluded imo (not on here, but Twitter is evident for it)

Not Rodgers fault Hatate and Taylor gave the ball away at every turn, and that Holm decided to do a mental challenge whilst down to 10 men. If the ref had done his job properly we might have even nabbed a point from that.

I actually have a lot more faith in him after the last 3 games tbh, saturday's game against Livingston will be a massive test that, if he overcomes, will win a lot of people back on his side imo.

Needs to stop the keeper and CBs playing it to each other flat along the touchline. Giving me flashbacks to his first stint.

Until he puts a stop to that that not sure I'd agree with you.

I have sympathy with him tonight tbh. Don’t think he could have done much more with the players at his disposal.

He’ll need to earn his money in the home games, against Feyenoord and Lazio in particular.

    Ange did that too.

I think we've already shown that Hart has more license to go long more often when needed under Rodgers.

We are very naive though I agree. But I don't see how else we play as we have a tiny striker up front and noone else to hit.

I'd genuinely look at playing Oh as a LW away from home in Europe. Samaras style.

Not him tonight, but surely he should have demanded more I'm the window..

If he has watched us as much as he said, then surely tae * he would know where we needed to strengthen..

Truth is I want to take to him and get behind him, because the alterative would see us fail.. but its not * easy.

Ange had the CBs play it out sure, but the ball almost always went forwards and had a purpose. Also having inverted FBs meant there was multiple ways to develop space to do that. Get it's similar but to me there is a difference.

Rodgers seems to want them to play it out from the touchline and without purpose or creating space to do it. Tonight was a prime example of putting unneeded pressure on ourselves.

I dunno mate I think if you went back and watched us in Europe you'd see it happening with ange as well. We've done it for a while.

They were there for the taking, don't think we were aggressive or positive enough. We were 'comfortable' without really threatening in the first half. In the second half we fell apart but Feyenoord definitely started it on the front foot.

The season for me is still stuttering somewhat...I'm still waiting for everything to come together and I think that's for a number of reasons.

It was a very interesting summer shall we say, there's been a lot of change and we have a lot of new, young players to blood.

The injuries, major issue as well.

Add that to the fact Rodgers being back still seems a bit surreal and it's all a bit weird. Feels strange.

I thought the Hun game would kick us on and still think it might. Tonight wasn't bad at all tbh, but it's more of the usual stuff in Europe.

I think we lose 3/4 tonight if that was us last season. With 11 men too. They would’ve carved us open numerous times. They only got the goal with a silly FK with Kyogo and Hart effin it up. Had we kept 11 on they won’t have scored another and we might’ve got one back.

Hopefully CCV is back or at least Nat for Lazio. Hatate will be upto match sharpness and Palma will be more settled. Home crowd too I think we will beat them.

Perhaps, but Rodgers failed last time to make it work in the League too. Wouldn't say that was true of Ange.

My main point is whilst Rodgers keeps on doing it, as he did last time I'll question how much he's learnt/adapted since his previous stint.

Been for me a bit passive and unengaged at the beginning to get that behind him so far.

Tonight wasn't really on Rodgers though I'd agree. Selection and tactics were hard to criticise. He's been better and more engaged since our Derby win. Just not sold on him that much on him yet.

Set up well against a side that are smashing good Dutch sides off the park. Hamstrung with major centre half issues.

Take confidence from tonight tbh, I think he’s clearly putting his ego to the side this time around which will be more apparent when the dust settles.
