Quarter of the way through The Godfather by Mario Puzo. Love the films and have wanted to read for ages.

So good so far, love getting little insights into the characters that I hadn’t got before from watching the films.

Read the part about the baby and the furnace this morning on the bus to work.

Not exactly the most uplifting start to my day ffs.

Im almost finished The Black Echo by Michael Connelly. The first novel he had published.

Could be just my frame of mind at the moment but I’ve found it a little tedious to read, having really enjoyed The Poet. I’ll still continue into the Bosch series at some point.

Thinking of reading another Stephen King novel next, tempted by Carrie.

Personally I would suggest keeping at it. I like Connelly's Bosh series. If you like crime novels that series is a good one.

Finished Isaac Asimov's sci-fi crime novel Robots of Dawn part of his Elijah Baley series. Not quite as good as the first 2 in the series but still a good read.

Definitely not throwing the towel in just yet. Maybe it was just because I enjoyed The Poet so much that I was expecting it to be at the same level.

Reading Monkey (a translation of Journey to the west). I initially really enjoyed it, quite funny but it then turned overly serious out of nowhere. Hope it perks up a bit

Reading Carrie by Stephen King. I’m enjoying it so far, it’s different to say the least.

I've recently had a sci-fi novel commercially published. I won't advertise it here but feel free to PM me if interested.

Also happy to talk to anyone interested in the writing/publishing process. It aint easy.

Thought I would start reading again the novel I started writing about 10 years ago. It’s unfinished as I want all 6 books completed before going to local publisher
It’s called Out of the Mists of Creation.
    It’s a Sci-Fantasy/ Horror book.
It’s a trilogy but there is another trilogy connected to it which is more horror than sci fi.
