Shows time and time again why folk that call him an athlete and never a footballer are idiots.

His output can be up and down but he’s capable of moments of genuine class. When you stick that alongside the fact his physical attributes are unmatched you’ve got a unique player.

He is absolutely one that Celtic fans as a whole will end up missing more when he’s gone because he ain’t going to be replaced like for like.

He’s scoring against Feyenoord. Feel like he’s coming back into form.

Contributes 100% every game, becomming a mainstay.Certainly not perfect by any means, but will cause problems for any defence.

Seen reports of 25mil for him. I would carry him down to Spurs for that.

    If he's 25mil then Kyogo is 100mil+

I am one of his biggest critics but he was good yesterday, the game on Tuesday should suit him as there will be more space in behind and despite them winning 6-1 again it did look like Heerenveen actually got in behind them quite easily but were wasteful.

The thing both Daizen and the rest of the team will need to do is not be wasteful as we won’t get loads of chances we need to make those we do count.

I dont disagree with this, I like Maeda but then in moments he does something so erratic that I feel that we need someone who is better technically.

You really dont know what you are going to get from him when he lines up to shoot or play in a cross. It literally ranges from out the park to a perfect cross/shot.

If Spurs would pay that money for Maeda, we should have kept Jota, because they'd pay 50M for him. * Saudi clubs, and * the person who accepted that bid.

That being said, Maeda is the likeliest to stay here really long term. His technique is so obviously bad that big clubs just don't want to deal with it.

Has it in him but I still find him a very frustrating player.

Think Rodgers has taken to him though. Only the 1 assist and 0 goals in 6 game so far, he will need to start contributing...as will a few others tbf.

So you're telling me Celtic should have kept Jota, against his will, because some random clickbait site said we value Maeda at £25 million?

I know he isn’t blessed with the silky skills, but his stamina and speed when attacking AND defending is immense.

I have mixed feelings. I really like him against good teams (and thought he was one of our better performers in the CL) but I think there's a partial truth in what some people say about him and low blocks.

His stats for Celtic are good but the most important aspect of what he brings isn’t measured in numbers.

A topical example being he was our most important player at the midden a fortnight ago, he stifled their 2 main creative outlets almost single handedly. That from a winger is mental.

Similar criticism could be labelled at the likes of Abada and even Kyogo, in truth, who would operate far more efficiently with more space in behind.

He isn’t without fault but he brings far more than those ‘haters’ because he shanks a couple crosses would have you believe.

He reminds me a bit of Didier Agathe. An absolute machine who gives 110% every game, but will frustrate the life out of fans because he gets himself into great positions (which most others couldn’t get into) and then the technical side and end product is completely hit or miss.

I personally love the mad * and think what he contributes over the course of a season can’t be measured in numbers alone.

Becoming my favourite player for us. I actually adore his attitude. Ballooning a shot means nothing to me, his drive and attitude is exemplary and difficult to buy.
