    It was more the manager changed early on in the season, who played two banks of 4 and 5 and a striker with nobody in 50 yards of him. I’m sure it was Kyle Lafferty they aimlessly launched balls at.

    I know I've posted this elsewhere but suprised didn't put it in here as well at some point.

    Hooper is the only player to score in every one of these 13 comps:
    • Premier League, Championship, League 1, League 2
    • FA Cup, League Cup, FA Trophy, Football League Trophy
    • Scottish Premier League, Scottish FA Cup, Scottish League Cup
    • Champions League and Europa League.

    Almost got one whilst with us against Sweden but got injured..

    Went to a prem club and scored 7 i think, despite no being a regular starter and them getting relegated. Wasn't that far from where he grew up in Essex..

    Done almost everything at us
    Hunskelper
    Won everything
    Scored in champions league
    Got us to knockouts

    One of my favourite ever Celtic strikers..

    Always be remembered fondly by our support..

    I'm absolutely at a loss as to why folk think giving Hooper, even a short-term contract is a good idea?

    He was barely putting a shift in against guys 15-20kgs+ overweight and multiple years retired. Give it a rest man.

    Defoe was a very fit guy and was good enough to still score. Hooper has struggled in India and New Zealand. Only time he should wear the hoops is at a masters tourny or a charity game

    I knew while I listening to his interview on the BBC that there would be mad * on here angling for us to give him a contract. Just ridiculous. And also even if he was younger and fitter and on a decent run of form.............he walked out on us to sign for Norwich............you dont get a second bite at the cherry after doing that (everyone apart from Brendan that is)

    Does anyone remember when Jorge Cadete came back to Glasgow and signed for Partick Thistle for a few games around 2004??? He was coming out with statements in the paper saying how he'd love to return to Celtic and he loves us as a club yada yada yada. He basically went on strike in 1997 went back to Portugal and refused to come back. Saying he hated living in Glasgow.....it made him depressed and Celtic did nothing to help him and his wages were *.

    Its funny how these * seem to think we'll take them back after they * us over (again apart from Brendan)

    Great player in his day. Should never have left for Norwich, such a stupid move for a striker in particular to make in a relegation fodder side.

    Nae offence to Hooper but Im 38 and have played 5 - a - sides my whole life. Still do. I still think Im awesome and have some brilliant games. I still bang them in like Gary was doing there. And Celtic have never came back to offer me a contract and I was a season ticket holder for over 20 year. If they did it for Hooper after the masters then I'd be writing in a letter of complaint about I've never had a shout
