Outwith his brief 20 minute cameo against Bilbao, his performances in pre season and at ibrox have been really poor, granted Sunday was his 1st game back in a few weeks

Cant imagine Rodgers has been overly impressed by him. No wonder we were reportedly looking for a striker last week.

 

Im thinking that he is not fully fit. But since South Korea is the other end of the world....it would make sense for them to pick as many U.K based players as possible since both the friendlies are in the U.K. It saves players travelling thousands of miles just to sit on a bench and not get on the pitch

My thinking when I was saying we needed another CF during the window is he’s just a project nothing more, nothing less. If he comes good that’s great but when Kyogo gets injured we have nobody to rely on for goals (don’t say Maeda, he’s just not technically good enough).

Thought for as much game time he had last season he contributed well enough. Obviously the injury has hindered him this season. I’ve a bit of faith he will come good again. Never gonna Oust Kyogo though

Looking forward to seeing him more, he was class against Bilbao and gives us something. If he's performing well Rodgers will adapt his system to accommodate both, I reckon

 

I honestly can’t believe * are slating his performance on Sunday. That’s mental. Just back from injury, 15 minutes in a game of that magnitude when we are just soaking up pressure. What do you expect?

I also don’t agree with him not contributing. He scored the most goals per 90 last season. If he gets minutes he will contribute. We are saying how good Kyogo is at the minute and that’s what Oh is up against. The best since Larsson who plays the polar opposite style to him.

 

I wasn't impressed with what little I saw last season

 

For me you can see there is something there with him, he is strong has decent pace and can finish. To me he still looks like he is learning to be a striker and it makes him positionally a bit all over the place.

The end of last season came at the wrong time for him as he had found some goalscoring form.

He still has a lot to prove but given he was a 21 year old from Korea and GG was what 27 of the back of his only season of note so far and he was rotten for the first 6 months or injured.

I do think we could do with another option right enough but it will be hard unless we do move Oh to one of the wider positions or play him off Kyogo rather than the other way about.

For example if we had signed Sydney VH then him right up top with Oh off him totally changes our options to having Kyogo which could be handy. Maeda has been poor this season so far but could he play centre forward with someone like Oh tying guys up to make space for him?

We do seem to have a lot of options in the final third but most of them are pretty unproven just now. We really need two of Yang, Tilio, Abada and Palma to have top seasons with support of at least one of the others.

 

I like him a lot. He strikes me as a player who really needs games though, a wee bit of a confidence player who still needs to develop and could do with being the main man getting 70+ minutes every week. He's obviously not going to get that here right now so I do worry for his development a wee bit.
