Hudson odoi for £3.5 mil with add ons is one we should have been all over. What a signing that would have been for us to replace jota. Also don’t fully rate him myself, but Rob holding for £4 mil is a steal for a player with his experience

 

Everton mutually agreed to release him now too so he’s a free agent. Surely we ask the question?? Same with schmeichel I think

 

Thought I'd check the free agent list, I very much doubt we'll go for any but worth a look.

A few notable players include:

Niko Giebelmann - LB, 31 years old, played 26 games for Union Berlin in the Bundesliga last season
Marvin Plattenhardt - LB, 31 years old, 31 games for Hertha Berlin last year
Yann M'Vila - CDM, 33 years old, 45 games for Olympiakos last year
Noah Diliberto - CDM, 21 years old, 31 games for Valenciennes last year, 3 goals and 3 assists as well
Kasper Schmeichel - GK, 36 years old, 36 games for Nice last year.
Josh Cohen - GK, 31 years old, played 40 games for Maccabi Haifa last year, who won the Title.

Now, I'm not saying any of these guys would be superstars, but they'd all be upgrades on Hart, Taylor and Kwon, especially Dilaberto, who I'm struggling to understand why he's a free agent (Wikipedia says he's still at Valenciennes but Transfrmarket says otherwise)

 

If Schmeichel, albeit the same age as Hart, has not suffered the same level of decline, then it’s a no-brainer.

Plattenhardt was also a quality LB and, at 31, would probably still be a big upgrade on Taylor.

 

Didn't see the game but judging by the comments Taylor had another disaster. Surely some free transfer we could bring in, even till the next transfer window.

Still don't understand what happened with that not being addressed.

 

David de gea a free agent? Had a few shockers in the past season but what a keeper he is on his day and only 32. Wonder if he’d take a 40/50k wage to come up to us for 2/3 years

 

I'd take him in a heartbeat, but he'll be off to Saudi.

Schmeichel has gone to Anderlecht. I'm not fussed there was a reason Nice terminates his contract and it took so long for him to get more work and when he did it's a Belgian team who failed to get Europe. He's declined rapidly.

100% agree, I'd be all over that Diliberto, 31 games in Ligue 2, 3 goals and 3 assists, CDM as well and only 21.

You also can't tell me one of Giebelmann or Plattenhardt would be far better than Bernabei as rotation for Taylor.

 

The more I think about it, the more I want Lennon Miller.

He is going to be the next top talent to leave the league if we don't move for him sharpish.

We need Scots for the quota and he is going to be the best Scot of his generation from the league if he carries on.
