Wee man is struggling that bad it feels like he'll never recover from it. Obviously you can never say never but just feels like he's finished. Gutted for him tbh.

 

He had an 18 month purple patch where he was greatly benefitted from the system we played and having Maeda working his * off defensively in front of him.

He's now simply returned to the * player he was for the 2 years prior to Anges arrival

 

His confidence is gone. Not being called into the Scotland squad won’t have helped. We have nobody to take over from him unfortunately. Scales and Bernabei would be even worse out there. We also have to remember he doesn’t have his CB partner beside him who’s game he knew inside out.
Looks like we will have to make do till the next window.

 

Honestly mate I don't think it's got anything to do with the system. He passed two balls the day right out the park, and continually gave the ball away when easy passes were available. For me, his confidence is shot for whatever reason. Hopefully Rodgers can get him back to form.

 

Shouldnt be scrapping the barrel given the position we are in but I think we seriously need to look at the free agent market and get someone else in. Won't be able to play champions league but we have a lot of important league games.

Taylor did great last season but we can't forget in the summer after Anges first year we was calling out for a new left back as GT was seen as one of our biggest weaknesses for Europe. Took him a while to get settled playing a inverted role and now it's maybe harder for him to switch to something different.

 

His confidence does look shot. He was good last year but we definitely need better there. He's the Ralston to Johnston.

 

Not going to fire into him at all. We all know his performance yesterday wasn’t good enough. It wasn’t like yesterday was to do with the system, he was just very very poor on the ball and that’s not like him at all.

We definitely needed to upgrade the position but Taylor is here now and we need to support him. Can’t see Bernabei doing anything and Scales should be kept as a CB.
