When the commentator said he played for the rangers youths I think he kept passing to a sevco player he thought he was still playing for them he was * honking.

 

Was really poor today. Its a shame as he will keep playing and surely fans getting on his back will just make it worse

Scales might genuinely be our best option there for now with Phillips and Lager at CB.

As over the moon I am about the result it still infuriates me that we didn't bother to address this area.

Completely unacceptable.

Must have an academy player better than him.

If not, stick Scales there.

 

Not really for all of this negative patter because he was one of our best players last season.

There’s a player there with good attributes. Just something isn’t clicking right at the moment.

However it doesn’t negate the fact that we should have got a quality LB in over the summer. The fact that we had to throw Bernabei on today is ridiculous.

 

The question is why has he gone from a POTY candidate under Ange to this under BR?

It can’t be as simple as just not playing the inverted fullback role? I want to give him time to sort it out and he deserves it. There is a player there but he was really really poor today.

 

I felt it was because he knew he’d be out the side by the end of the transfer window, but so much for that.

 

Not his best game but to be fair to him he doesn't hide. Definitely should have upgraded him to play the system Rodgers wants tho.

 

What has gone wrong with him this season?
Last season he was good but he has been useless so far this season.

 

Probably worst I’ve seen him, I think he wanted off rather than ‘feeling tight’.

 

Style of play, we all knew he wasn’t the type of full back who’ll overlap and bomb past his winger all game long. He’s slow and weak.

His strengths lie in his ball retention, coming into the middle of the park providing an option and moving the ball on.

If Rodgers has no intention of inverting him, then it’s completely unacceptable that we either didn’t find him someone more suited to how he wants to play, or he couldn’t recognise that Taylor isn’t suited to his style. There’s no doubt in my mind it’s the former rather than the later.

That’s coming from one of his biggest fans too, he’s badly out his depth at the moment.
