That is a real shocker to wake up to. Don’t even follow the wrestling anymore but his character transcended it. Not a lot have done that recently.

Massive shock that guy was brilliant and even though had loads of success was still so under-utilised.

Always got to wonder when a wrestler dies young like this if he had any issues with drugs as well, steroids or painkillers that could have triggered it, I haven't watched wrestling in years and I know on the face of it the industry is meant to be a lot cleaner in general and more concerned with performers health, but honestly you always take that talk with a pinch of salt same as doping in any other sport, it'll still be happening on some level.

No age to be dying in any walk of life.

What a character every time he changed it, it worked like the undertaker always reinventing his character adding layers RIP

Part timers don't get tested, and the wrestlers aren't tested when 9ut injured or off screen. He could have been on it, who knows. It's sad that male wrestlers feel they had to do them to become stars. After all the deaths, addictions etc we've seen they shouldn't be.

Wonder if they will do anything at All In? Problem is he didn't have a signiture spot to do in tribute.

CM Punk fired from AEW, apparently had a scuffle with Tony Khan and Jack Perry at All In.

    Been coming tbh

Not heard anything about a scuffle with Khan, just lil jungle boy. Must have been pretty strong evidence against him to sack him. I assume Punk is wealthy enough anyway. If he never wrestlescagain the wrestling Infront of 80k people at Wembley and beating Joe probably isn't a bad way to go out.

Apparently he lunged at Khan and TV monitors fell on Khan. Sounds pish but there's meant to be footage and I don't think Khan would suspend him purely based on a scuffle with Jungle Boy.

I do really like Punk, he's entertaining and I wanted to see him feud with MJF one more time, but he's a timebomb.

If he started it and put him in a chokehold then they have grounds for sacking. It isn't really about Perry, it's that Punk was as popular as a pineapple up the khyber. He'd apparently stopped people appearing on Collision. The Bucks and Omega disliked him as apparently did Moxley. They probably realised he wasn't worth the hassle.

seems you were right, apparently Meltzer reporting a "lunge". He's pretty in with AEW so I can believe it. * stupid of punk if true.
He could still make money if he wanted though. He sells loads of tees, has a very loyal fan base and could probably charge 10k for a 10 minute match or charge $100 for a photo and signed pic.

I'd put the responsibility more on WCW for putting a guy who wasn't safe in the ring in such a big position so quickly, although the Power Plant was known for training in high intensity and promos ahead of any skillfull wrestling.
He also didn't like wrestling and entered it because his American Football career, what there was of it, was over. I understand plenty enter it post sports career but they usually like it.
