Gambles on "prospects" might come off but it's no excuse for this window. For every Larsson there are 10 Mulumbus.

Had money to spend on taking us up a notch, and/or fill obvious gaps, didn't spend it. No other way to interpret it really.

It's obviously not happening but transfer windows are just for registering players, you can sell them whenever you want.

 

Is there any out of contract LBs. We cannot be going in to this season with Taylor and Bernabei as the clubs left back.

Would have been as well as getting Montgomery back and trying him.

 

Aye, definitely seems like we've gambled, but if they do prove to be quality additions then it will be good recruitment, not pure luck..

The failure to add a LB, GK and DM is sheer negligence..

If we had signed either a GK or LB of some level of reputation we would probably be able to look at the window and agree... yeah we could have done more but we've sign x amount of players and signed who we hope is marked in improvement on either Hart of Taylor.

If we signed both a GK and LB, then mixed in with the amount of player coming in it would have been a fantastic window and I would argue a lot of earlier signings would be given far more leeway and room to breathe and develop.

Unfortunately though as we've signed neither a LB nor a GK....it all just feels rather flat, we set off on the race well enough to start but didn't do enough to finish it.

Not sure how spending £2 - £4m on players is a gamble type of signing for us?

Other than the Benfica loan feels like we've spent significant money on players that may never do more than fill a position in the squad. Got real hopes for Holm, Yang, and our 2 new CBs. Less sure about Palma.

Would far rather we had looked to an Edourd or Kyogo type deal but for GK or DM and passed on a few of the prospects. Squads unmanageable.

 

Obviously deliberately kept Bernardo announcement for the last hour of the window to make it look like more of an achievement. Sly af. Well seen Lawwell Senior’s back in the mix.

How long are we going to tolerate being treated like mugs?

 

So the board let down Rodgers again in terms of signings mark me shocked Greg Taylor in the cl gonna be some * laugh
