Now that it's all(?) said and done, it was a disappointing window.

I wasn't against selling high on Jota or moving on from Starfelt. Problem is, we've signed far too many projects. Literally all of our signings are unproven players. They may turn out to be bargains, but it's a big risk on our part. I mean, it's not like we have Ange around who had gained a level of trust the last couple of seasons. Personally, I don't trust our post-Ange recruitment policy one bit.

At least we managed to dump some of the deadwood in Ajeti and Soro. I'm also fine with moving on from Haksa. Was never a fan of his game.

On the positive side I'm sure the club made some good money on the pre orders for our 4th kit this year. Luckily got my order in early but seems quite a few sizes are sold out.

    This.

Rodgers' arrival and his subsequent comments about Europe, combined with reports of him needing to be persuaded to take the job, suggested we were in for a big summer. That we were about to splash out on some experienced talent with a bit of pedigree that were going to help us make our next step in Europe.

Instead it feels like a Lennon window, or, probably more appropriately - a Lawwell one. It feels like we're using plasters to cover areas that need surgery. Kicking our issues down the road for a later date instead of actually moving to cover them long-term.

There's nothing controlled about Celtic going to Ibrox on Sunday. We're not going there with a defined style that we know we're going to assert on Rangers. Instead we're just going to have to throw in all the new signings and hope they swim instead of sink. We have no idea how well they'll do for Celtic, or how well they'll do on Sunday. But we've been left with no choice but to roll the dice and hope for the best. We're all just hoping we will pull something out the hat out of nowhere.

A * outrageous position to be in given where we were at the end of last season.

It's not often I disagree with you, but we have a negative net spend and we've not addressed the glaring issues at LB and GK. Even if it's a good window for the long term (and like you, I think it might be), we might pay for this in the short term. And by short term, I don't just mean a few sore ones in the CL; I mostly mean that I now think there will be a real title race this year and there didn't need to be.

We've all seen this before so it really shouldn't surprise anyone

Well, I can put your mind at rest. One of those things won't happen.

Ange had a remarkable first two windows. He's not signed anyone decent since.

    Absolutely pathetic business.

Back to the same old Celtic, after a brief few years of operating efficiently, like a professional football club of our stature should.

    * grim.

You would've thought automatic entry into the CL would've encouraged the Board to go that extra mile and bring in some real quality.

Jonhston hit the ground running. Oh was definitely decent and had a promising pre-season prior to his injury. I bet Iwata would have had a successful season under Ange. Not sure whether Rodgers values his style of play.

All in all, Ange had far more successes than failures.

And AJ?? While I agree he hasn't really proved himself as yet, you can't honestly say Oh didn't look "decent" in his last game and that was him injured.

He's scored goals and played well enough most of the times he's had the chance. I keep seeing people say he's done nothing and at the same time pining for GG, the only thing of note GG did in his first half season was miss a penalty, Oh is going to be fine.

We’d be raving about it being shrewd business if it was still Ange mate, and I’m sure of that.

Ange had a track record of canny business, that he had planned out exactly what they’d bring 95% of the business he done though. He’d earned that faith.

I’m not saying we’ve done great. But not as terrible as people are making out.

And the * injuries we’ve picked up to some key players and the guy who looks the best out the signings in Nawrocki - just makes everything so much worse

We seem to want to keep the Huns in touching distance. We should be jumping all over their throats, that’s what they would do if they were us!!!
“See you here next May” is not guaranteed due to being so pathetic when it comes to the calibre of incomings.
