You can't really judge how a window was until enough time has past to judge the players.

Getting CCV, Jota and GG on the final day was met with comments on a guy who had been loaned out to every team in England and was thought of as not being good enough, a Benfica reject and the Dutch top flight is easy to get goals in.

It's arguably our best ever transfer day.

My point was that our recruits could go on to be terrific signings. We don't know yet.

On the face of it, it's a disappointing window and on paper we're weaker than we were. On the pitch? Who knows right now?

 

100% agree.

We all knew the areas that needed to be strengthened. We still haven't addressed those issues. Only the center of defence was sorted (until injuries) and that's terrible planning.

To be fair he never said there was going to be nothing after Bernardo, that's just how people chose to spin it and go off their nut, he said not many more, to me that means we're at least still trying to make more happen, not packed up and gone home for the night yet.

Theyve all been eating up the initial paper talk and fans feelings of "Rodgers is back must certainly mean were going to break our transfer record not once but twice!!" So now are disappointed. Personally I think we've done well except for left back.

The failure to add a LB, GK is negligence we could have done with a DM for about 10yrs..

I'm not saying anyone will flop but there was a clear expectation in the support that we would try and kick on and make a proper go of Europe. Rodgers spoke about making a good go of Europe at his unveiling as well but we've stuck with the same strategy that has seen us fail in Europe in recent times. We've largely kept our transfer fees around the same level in the last 15 years whilst inflation happened and football changed generally but we stick with the same strategy that is seeing us under achieve in Europe.

I jokingly said the other we were trying to smash through a glass ceiling whilst the board were getting the double glazers in but it's probably quite accurate tbh

 

Deadwood being shifted (Soro, Ajeti). Players in who may enhance the team. Time for a couple more signings

Considering the money we have in the bank, there's no way we should be coming out a transfer window having not made more improvements.

 

Holm could be the DM. Kwon could come good.
.we need a LB. I think we will get one. A striker is a must.

At Thailand said Earleier we here by putting to much stick in this derby match lose and we are two points behind. Plenty of time to salvage the league.a defeat would stung but it's not the be all and in that fullness of time.
