Could be it's not a priority right this minute, be difficult to give everyone enough minutes if we sign another striker now, if Kyogo and Oh are performing well between now and then we might just look at a decent level loan like Phillips as short term cover.

It's * mortifying seeing people attempt to defend this window because Yang done a wee stepover against St Johnstone and Holm dropped the shoulder and beat a man from Ross County.

How are people going over the top?

We're * loaded. We already were before we punted our best winger for £25 million. With the money we've made we've signed two first team players (both of them replacements for guys we sold), and a bunch of 20-22 year old projects from Korea, Sweden, Norway and Australia.

Now aye, all of them might turn out to be world beaters (more than likely, that won't happen). But it's maybe the most obvious case in recent memory of the club not pushing on from a position of strength. A treble and up to our eyeballs in money, and we can't go out and sign 4 or 5 players ready to start and improve the team. That should be the expectation.

The reason we end up with a massively bloated squad like we currently have is all the years of cheap punts, with half/most of them ending up pish. Soro, Scales, Haksa, Ajeti (not cheap), Yuki, Bernabei (not cheap), Siegrist etc.

They haven't done him dirty, he's known what he's coming in to. If he's accepted it then it's on him to make it work. The slow plodding tactics are heavily his fault, we didn't play like that without Hatate before and we've played Ralston and Taylor together the past 2 seasons and generally been fine.

 

With enough of a hint in his theoretical goodbye message, he could shift the blame. But I think he hopes he can still dominate the league and go in 2 years. We are a stepping stone to him, and the situation right now is still salvageable, at +1 before Sunday.

People defending this window are the reason this club hasn't made any progress in years and years. We'll never, ever make progress in Europe when certain fans are happy with a window that saw us neglect our glaring vulnerabilities because we signed a couple young flair players who have very little sample size to suggest they can replace a player like Jota anytime soon. But because they had one or two little moments against very weak opposition, we should be happy about this window.

 

Our three most exciting links were Livakovic, Reider, and Tete.

If we signed those three it still wouldn’t have been enough.

Brendan Rodgers has played down the chance of more arrivals at Celtic after Paulo Bernardo.

The Hoops were expected to do deals before the transfer window closes at midnight tonight, with a loan for the Benfica midfielder one of those. That is still to be officially announced by the club but is imminent and the manager all but confirmed in while discussing the profile of the 21-year-old.


However, it would seem Celtic fans shouldn't get too excited about the prospect of any further incomings after that with Rodgersplaying down the likelihood. He was believed to be looking at a left-back and another attacking player after signing centre-back Nat Phillips on loan from Liverpool yesterday to plug a gap. Bernardo, Luis Palma and Phillips will all be in line for debuts against Rangers on Sunday.

Then you don't bring in Brendan * Rodgers. We know how he plays football. We seen it for 2 and half years. He plays a completely different style of football to Ange. You want the same as what you had before? Appoint a manager who plays the same way.

Don't appoint a manager who plays a different style of attacking football. Especially if you're not going to supply him with the funds/players to play his way of football.
