Tbh I thought we would have gotten more for him. That's a few imo we have let go on the cheap, GG JJ & Starfelt.

 

We reportedly paid Rubin £1.7m. He had one uninspiring season at Celtic, yet we managed to get our money back. Seems like a decent deal in my book.

Personally, I was never a fan of his game. Far too slow for my liking, especially for a winger. Another reason I never liked him was his crown tattoo on his neck. I hate royalty and everything that comes with it. Anyway, good luck to him. Hope he has a successful career in Greece.

Could have been a contender for us but ultimately hasn't done enough. Always looked better coming on as a sub after 70mins or so than he did starting the game.

 

TEAMtalk understands Stoke City are poised to land Celtic winger Sead Haksabanovic after sending Chiquinho back to Wolverhampton Wanderers, as Alex Neil looks to complete yet more transfer business before Friday’s deadline.

Stoke confirmed Bae Junho as their 15th signing of a remarkable summer on Thursday, but Neil is still hoping to be among the busier managers on Friday with reinforcements at centre-back, full-back and up front on his checklist.

However, a spot for another winger has opened up after Chiquinho’s loan was cut short amid reports of a falling out, with the Potters quickly utilising the freed-up loan place by moving for Haksabanovic.


The Montenegro winger has fallen further down the pecking order at Parkhead following Celtic’s signing of Luis Palma, a player Stoke had also tracked, and the 24-year-old hinted over the weekend that an exit looked likely, posting on Instagram: “If they don’t see your value maybe you’re not in the right place.”


It has been reported he was set to sign for PAOK in Greece, but TEAMtalk understands he is on his way to Stoke on loan for the season instead.




Haksabanovic was signed by Ange Postecoglou from Rubin Kazan in 2022 and scored five goals in 40 appearances in his debut season in Scotland, including six in the Champions League. But he has made only substitute appearances for the Hoops this season and now returns to England, where he previously spent time with West Ham having joined as an 18-year-old from Halmstads.

He never appeared for the Hammers in the league, however, and moved to IFK Norrkoping in 2019. He will now hope to find a home in the Championship.

 

Good. Never taken to him as a player and comes across as a complete * who loves himself a bit too much. Poser.

Weirdly I wasn’t expecting his name to be in the ex players section even though i knew it was inevitable

He’ll be remembered for nothing, all i’ll remember of him was coming on as a sub against the huns and missing two sitters in the dying minutes

 

Weirdly I would rather it was a loan with no option. A good season in the Championship and we could get a much better fee next summer.

 

Well look no further than Kobayashi and Bernabei.

He's no actually away yet is he? Were a bit quick on welcomes and goodbyes.

Shame he's not bad it in him to knuckle down, he looked like someone that really could be a difference maker and came up with some good moments. No hard feelings, if we've gotten the money back on what we put out fair, he looked good at times but was not the right fit as he wasn't a winger and we didn't really use a proper cam

 

If he's off then we've certainly got another coming in.
