No far off being a successful window now troops, a 2021 style deadline day haul in the right positions and we're ready to rock.

Quite sad that it takes a hun capitulation for our fan base to show a bit of support for OUR team, but that's modern football I suppose.

Regardless, we all want the same thing at the end of the day. Well, most of us.

Didn't realise the deadline is Friday. Assumed it was tomorrow

Aye makes a big difference, I'm a wee bit more relaxed on the lack of a LB rumour, suspect we'll hear it tomorrow and it'll be announced Friday, alongside Bernardo and Phillips.

2 days for 3 or 4 players just for the window to be acceptable and even then its dependent on who the players are.

I really do fear for us in the champions league

Forget the huns. Them being * and getting pumped last night doesn’t excuse the shambles of a transfer window we have had. Because that’s what it’s been.

Bringing in a couple of boys on loan and some are buzzing about it. I’m happy we are bringing them in, don’t get me wrong, but with the financial position we are in, we all expected major investment on bringing in players for here and now this window, and it’s not materialised. We shouldn’t be scrambling about this late in the window needing key players.

We will take in circa £75m between transfers and CL money this season, and we weren’t exactly skint before that. To make a mark in Europe, which we were told was the aim, we needed to be bringing in 3 or 4 players in a £5-10m bracket. Obviously that doesn’t guarantee players will be a success, but if we were serious about trying to make an impact, I think that’s the kind of window we needed.

The projects I’ve no issue with signing at all. There has been too much of an imbalance in the mix between projects and players who are ready to go straight into the starting lineup though.

    This a wind up???

The very fact we are still scrambling around now means its not regardless of anything else.

We still need 3 or 4 players of quality in and we have 2 days left.

Why do you feel it close to being to successful? Please do me a favour and answer the question as all you seem to do is either ignore questions or send abusive replies.

Ask him to explain the "Complexities" of transfers. That's what I got yesterday when I said it was a * transfer window. Was Told I didnt understand the complexities of transfers, that and I was a ladyboy and couldn't "handle the scandal".

Absolute amateurs, charlatans running our club - that's all it is I think - you struggle to try and understand what the * they're playing at - it's just dumbness, arrogance - zero concern for the team & fans. Imagine how bad it'd be if we hadn't lost to killie.

Spot on mate. Probably with the exception of Hart and mooy, I hadn't heard of any of our signings over the past 3 or 4 years.

It's bizarre that folk are writing off some of our 7 signings this summer already. We've just got to trust the recruitment process which has been fairly successful.

Underwhelming shambles of a transfer window. We got ourselves in shape and looked like a professional outfit in a few of the previous windows, it now looks like a scattergun approach by a bunch of amateurs!! This window reminds me of Ange’s first window, when he had to build a team and our magnificent scouting team brought in the likes of the 2 boys from Sheffield Wednesday, McCarthy etc etc etc.

If anything the state they are in has made me more annoyed.

Said that in their thread last night. We should be streets ahead.

Don't think it's been a shambles at all murphy, not amazing and has dragged on a bit but a lot of folk seem to have convinced themselves the board are penny pinching, scouting is a joke, we have no ambition as a club blah blah.

That to me is just people working themselves into a frenzy. We've signed some good talent and hopefully we can get a few duds out the door. But the right quality players we're wanting was always goanny go to the end of the window. Throwing tantrums about it ain't changing that fact am afraid.

See my reply above. It's not been perfect but nor has it baan a 'shambles'.

Dish it out, canny take it back. Don't cry about it.

It's been a terrible window so far and anyone that thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. It still can be salvaged but it's going to take some doing.

Just a lack of ambition. We just need to be better than the huns foe them to see as a success.

We should be miles ahead but if we win the league by a couple of points the board are delighted and they've saved money by doing so.

That's the part that frustrates me as we could get so far ahead of them the league would be a formality for years to come.

    From the Record

Celtic are still in the market for a left-back and possibly a striker. They were interested in Mathias Kvistgaarden but never made a bid, writes Scott Burns.

Bologna striker Sydney van Hooijdonk has also been linked with interest from the Hoops.

Other sources in Italy have also confirmed that Celtic had an interest in Cagliari’s Serbian keeper Boris Radunovic.

The Serie A side, however, were not willing to do business.

No one is writing them off but how many of them are ready to go straight into the first team and improve it?

I'd say the new winger and the Liverpool defender with the current 11 available to us.

Once the others are confirmed I'll have a look at them.

OK so that's 2 from 7 that might make an impact on the first team immediately. Liverpool lad will because we have no one else fit. He's an emergency loan signing.
