He did a good job every season bar one in my view. Admittedly that one was spectacularly bad; but I have found that quite easy to forgive. The Covid situation was extremely hard on all of us; but surely it's not controversial to say that it was harder on those with mental health problems and Lenny has had pretty severe depression in the past. Add to that the pressure of 10iar, and everything that could go wrong for him actually doing so, e.g. Bolingoli.

Should have been fired months earlier; but still a legend for me.

 

I really don’t like Lennon.

It’s not the failure as a manager, it’s the way he blamed everyone but himself and still has digs at the fans.

I can’t believe anyone would let him off with all that carry on. The man is deluded. A very average manager too, definitely not a Celtic one.

Absue and bringing his personal life however is way too far.

 

Feel for the guy a lot sometimes with the abuse he gets. Some folk go way too far with it.

We are going to get raped in the group stage and I feel no excitement over the Champions league whatsoever.

Wasn't that long ago when we'd always give a decent account of ourselves and take a decent chunk of the 18 available points. Seen us take 10/18 (when'd the Huns ever do that?) one time. We are weaker than at this time last season and we won a rather pathetic 2/18 and those 2 were against a team where we should have taken all 6. But hey, at least we did better than the Huns. So that's our European benchmark now? To hopefully not end up with 0/18 points. Sad times indeed.

 

The cause is the style of football our managers insist on.

 

Again if we do get a mauling in these games it's all on the board and fed up saying it .
No proper investment when we are going into the champions league and If we were really taking Europe seriously then we needed 6 players at £5 million plus and would have doubled or trebled our money on these players a few years down the line .
But afraid the board just taking the money from the champions league and couldn't give a * if we get a few batterings along the way and the lack of ambition from these * is frustrating and disheartening but will have the cheek to charge fans £150 for 3 games .

 

Controversial opinion:
We will give a good account of ourselves in the CL, get 7 points and claim 3rd place.

Rodgers is a dinosaur who's ego stops him from adapting to the ever changing modern game of football as his "style" seems unchanged since he last was here

 

While I think dinosaur is an exaggeration I do agree that he is being left behind fast in football terms. Modern ten years ago, aye, but looking more and more old fashioned in his approach now.

On @Mr Shelby's point, I don't think we can place too much importance on him managing in the EPL five months ago. He got Leicester relegated in that time and for the last year and a half or so of his time there his team looked rotten.

I do have big worries about him.

 

Funnily enough, Martin O'Neill would be a massive tactical upgrade on Ange and Rodgers both, in Europe.
