Be interesting to see how he develops, still feel like we're waiting for him to gain a lot of composure. He chips in with a lot of goals so hopefully in time his decision making improves. Can't fault his effort.

 

Very disappointing, I had hoped we could have sold him this window.

 

Should’ve punted him for a decent sum & upgraded. He’s not good enough to be a starter for us. We can & should be doing better.

 

He frustrates the life out of me. Yes, he's scored a few goals however, his final ball is, more often than not, dreadful and he very rarely takes on his man and beats him. We need someone like Jota who was not scared to take on, beat his man and then create something or score himself.

 

I'll be delighted if rumours of a new contract are true, and I honestly don't get the eagerness to sell from a lot of fans. Yes, there's room for improvement, but he's still young, and he's already a good player. Great instincts and knows where the back of the net is. Definitely worth more time to improve and can still be sold in keeping with the 'model' further down the line for decent money as a 22,23,24 year old with plenty of years left in him. A definite "keep for now" as far as I'm concerned.

 

I always think of it in terms of us losing out on a young player, who goes on to become massive a few years down the line. It's happened plenty of times, and we end up absolutely gutted at what might have been.

Abada's ropey form aside, he's already proved emphatically that he has the talent, it's just a matter of us developing him well enough to get there.

I'd bet a years' wages if he were to go to Sporting Lisbon or similar at this stage, we would be spewing 3 year down the line when he no doubt irons out his flaws.

Only hitch there us, you can only progress so far playing in Scotland, so my point may be slightly moot anyway.

Fine for feeding on the scraps in the box occasionally. But we should do better. What are the people who give out these contracts see? If he kicks on fair enough but if he’s on the bench alot we will be stuck with another player on high wages for years to come.

 

Released today as a consolation to the fans for our dug * window.

 

Now if he can just work on his 0% defensive stats it'll be amazing...

Young guy with solid stats who should be easily marketed as someone who can grow so helps us get a good fee for him

Hardly, we've been trying to get him to sign a new deal since the new year, he's probably only just taken this one now since no good offers have come in for him this window.
