I’m half and half on it, they have been nowhere near us, we won 5 out of 7 trebles. That’s unheard of dominance. * that’s more Trebles than the rest of our history combined.

In the freakiest season ever, under weird circumstances, and with our most ambitious move with bringing Rodgers in successful on the pitch bringing a massive upheaval off of it with his mate Congerton…

Whilst they’ve spent £115m worth of debt to get to a season they lost zero games in the league.

And then backing the next man through to unprecedented levels, he spent the most we ever have Ange, because largely we knew give him what he wanted then it’ll be the right guy he gets.

But I still agree with you because it was before that, Lennon left first time because of it, then we done the Ronny *.

If we backed Lennon to consistently get into the CL after the CL16 run then that was the chance. We didn’t.

But we wouldn’t have had Rodgers or Ange or the Quadruple Treble plus another couple years later.

Because we have got more ambitious on the whole, but not * enough because we still stop when the ambition is getting us somewhere then have to restart again

He's still a * and a drain on the club moving forward.

But aye, good to have some positivity elsewhere to focus on.

He's a lucky boy that we won yesterday. Nicholson has disappeared from public view entirely it seems. The club need to confirm that Lawell has NOTHING to do with transfer activity/policy somehow. The lack of marquee signings have me feeling that is not the case.

I dont know if this is the correct thread, but for me the biggest winners from yesterday was the board as i think they would have felt the wrath of the fans above anyone else had we come up short.

Yesterday was a great result, all things considered. The squad, especially the centre backs deserve huge credit.
But what we shouldnt lose sight of, is that we badly mismanaged that transfer window and we simply have to learn our lessons. For me we almost left the door open for Rangers to claw back some ground, but it cannot be denied, that is a poor Rangers team at the moment.

Enjoy the moment, yes, but the true test is yet to come.

The thing is the Board hired Rodgers, that's the important thing, not a rookie manager or a punt, an experienced EPL manager who also knows how to win in the SPFL.

The trust is there for him to get the best out of the players available, of course as supporters we want to see quality signings in the door, but for now let's see what the manager can achieve with the current group.

Celtic Football Club is pleased to announce that Chairman Peter Lawwell has been appointed as Board Member and Vice Chairman of the European Club Association, and member of the joint venture between ECA and UEFA, for the next four-year cycle.

Peter Lawwell said. "It is an honour to be appointed into these new positions.

"It is crucial that the Club has a voice at the top of the game, and as we continually seek to strengthen and develop European football as a whole, I will also continue to do all I can to work in the best interests of both Celtic and Scottish football.

"I would like to thank ECA Chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and fellow Board members for giving me this opportunity."

Celtic Chief Executive Michael Nicholson said: "I would like to congratulate Peter on his appointments, which have been announced today.

"The ECA is a hugely important organisation within European football and it is great news for Celtic that Peter will continue to maintain such an important and influential role within this institution.

"For many years, Peter has worked tirelessly within the ECA and UEFA on behalf of both Celtic and Scottish football. Through these new appointments it is fantastic that our voice and interests will continue to be heard at the highest level of European football."
