Hard not to be our most successful domestic period given the level of competition we faced for much of his time. I think a bit of perspective is required when we talk about his domestic record. As good as it was, because undoubtedly it was a good one by the way.

 

Out of interest what was the trophy count during his tenure before the huns went bust? I'd say leagues were roughly the same? Cups?

 

Personally I don’t care that they didn’t interview anyone else. They had someone they wanted and trusted and he did deliver our fourth treble in a row.

I agree they should have sacked him sooner though. But I don’t think anyone could’ve rescued that season.

 

An inconvenient truth for many.

 

When the huns entered the top league, they were * rotten. They didn’t even finish 2nd initially.

 

Personally I was raging we appointed Lennon and that had nothing to do with the shower, but hey that's just my opinion.

That season could have definitely been rescued mate. He should of been sacked before Christmas, only reason they eventually let him go is because of the absolute Carnage it was causing. The ultimate yes man for the board

 

Not Celtic’s fault they cheated and died.

 

Could flip that round and say it took a 3rd Division team a matter of 9 years to finish 25 points ahead of us. They have outperformed us in Europe in that time also.

I wasn’t happy with his appointment that day either as I generally prefer not going back to someone who’s been here before. But I did enjoy the 9IAR season and seeing us win our 4th treble on the trot so credit where it’s due.

The covid season was horrible. I’m not convinced that with the signings we had made and the pandemic restrictions that it could’ve been rescued but we’ll never know.

 

No one is trying to diminish anything. We are only pointing out we had very little to no competition

 

Not at all. Our domestic success has been unbelievable in recent times, as I said previously. It is a fact though that the competition we have faced has been pretty weak for much of that time.

 

Again before the huns went bust what was his strike rate? Anyone?

 

It explains the level of quality they had when they returned.

And them catching up with us was due to them spending outwith their means and continually diluting shares just to keep the lights on. If they spent within their means they’d still be nowhere near us.

 

And Europe? We just dismiss that?

 

Are we also on the longest run of not winning a European knockout game?
