Alarm bells should have been ringing when we were approaching our first game in the league without a credible first team starter signed. Under Ange we had players identified an in early. The only players we have signed are probably one already identified by Ange apart from this Honduran. It's back to the old days now with the panic buy of some cheap option or a loan in the last minute.

I used to think it was a case of us waiting to see if we have CL money but now I think it's a way getting away with sending as little as possible. Take us to the brink with nothing and produce a lesser signing and we are just happy to get something

Where the * did I say everything's rosy? You're about the 6th person to assume that over last few weeks, as if am * stupid. Window has been pish, we need better players, but am I going out with a whimper cos we need to go to big bag Ibrox? Am I *. We should be expecting to go there and smash the * regardless of circumstance, that should be the automatic mind set.

I think it’s point 3 for sure Ange was an old school manager who knew what he wanted in all departments and was relentless in trying to get it. He was a football manager.

Rodgers is a coach, there’s a reason why he brings a big backroom staff where he goes as he likes to focus on coaching the team and trying to maximise performance, leaving a lot of the other stuff to his staff. Trusting Congerton has always been a flaw in that.

It’s not really a like for like replacement and Lawwell Jnr has went from essentially being head scout for Ange to being a bit of a DoF. As of yet it isn’t working, whether that’s Rodgers not being clear what he wants or Lawwell Jnr and his team being incompetent at delivering it or the CEO/ board refusing to make money available it’s impossible to tell.

Ange would have been a scouts dream, a clear footballing philosophy, clear idea what he needed for each player in each position, Rodgers isn’t that prescriptive. The only thing limiting Ange would have been our resources and standing in the game to attract the necessary quality of player.

Either way the above is no excuse for this shambles of a window. The singing of Kwon for me sums up all that’s wrong here, he’s a 22 year old defensive midfielder, a position on the park we have struggled to fill for some time and wasted a lot of money on cheap punts or big wages in the case of McCarthy. He played 20 mins versus Wolves and looked alright. A half against Athletic Club and looked shocking and has since been nowhere near the team in the competitive stuff. It’s not Kwon’s fault but he already seems destined for obscurity and another €1m wasted not to mention probably a modest wage, when a first team player was needed for that sort of role.

We've already lost 1 game to a pish Kilmarnock side that saw us give up a trophy in August, dropped more points to an even worse St Johnstone side at home who will be lucky to stay up, and looked ropey against both Ross County and Aberdeen. The squad is in dire straights and the manager has looked clueless on the touch line. But you're expecting us to go and beat the huns away from home when all signs point towards us losing? I'll always have a bit of hope that we'll show up against them but it's looking increasingly likely that it won't happen based on our form and the current state of the squad.

The reaction to how we've started the season along with a disgrace of a transfer window is completely justified.
How is expressing concern at our start to the season "lying down"..? There's warning signs all over the place but we need to get a grip because we're calling it out? If anything, you're the one whose lying down and accepting such low standards for Celtic football club.

Think the point is that, as * as the transfer window has been, the huns aren’t exactly world beaters and we can still go there on Sunday and beat them.
Still doesn’t mean that our business in this transfer window has been acceptable in any way though.

That's a reasonable post, agree with a lot of it. But there are * absolutely revelling in the misery of it all, constantly whingeing and making out like the sky is about to fall in, season is a lost cause after 4 games.

When the * did we as a fan base become so easy to squash? We're a * embarrassment of a support at times.

Sounds about right. We look confused in the transfer market, and don't have a clear procedure or plan. IMO, Postecoglou should have been replaced with a manager known for finding bargains in lower leagues. Since we don't want to shop in more expensive markets. A manager dependent on the EPL will struggle to get ideas on whom to bring here.

There's expressing concern and there's actively stating as fact we're goanny get horsed and deservedly so. That to me is a * disgrace.

Think you’re right in terms of the huns game on Sunday. It’s a game we can win and we should never go into a game with them expecting to get beat.
It’s difficult to see how we’re not going to get horsed 6 times in the champions league the way things are however. Given all the talk we heard when Rodgers came back this is what’s really disappointing for me and I can understand the frustration around.

    Just idiotic.

Normally just laugh at * thinking they have a scooby do what they're on about, but it gets extremely tiresome sometimes.

Agree mate, but given our resources and our 20 years of dominance, they should be nowhere near us, but we are dreadful just now. This should never have been allowed to happen. Just a few days left to change it.

Frustration is understandable, feel myself at times. I also try to remember how everyone, us fans included, wrote us off this time 2 year ago and look how that panned out.

Champions League is different. If we could have went into it with CCV available I'd not be a bit more confident of doing well, but think we'll feel the effects of that one. Not totally giving up the ghost though, couple of decent performances and be clinical in front of goal you just never know.
