Player Suggestions

I have a feeling we may go after Luke Thomas at Leicester for left back. Rodgers gave him his break through in the first team and he seems a good player, has a year left on his deal and has been replaced in the their team by Callum Doyle, a centre back on loan from City.

 

If that was the case I'd be right up for it, he's pretty highly thought of down south. Good on the ball, athletic, tall and works his * off...he's only in his early 20's too isn't he?, would be perfect but they would want around 10mill+ for him I'd think.

 

He only has a year left on his deal and if they aren’t playing him to play a centre back in his position who is younger than him.

Depending on other interest they may take something a bit less rather than £10m to avoid lose him for nothing.

I would definitely take him. Just when there has been PL quality players been mentioned that we are looking at I thought he seems like on I could see us being after.

 

Some MLS players who would make good signings for us.

Atalanta CB Miles Robinson, 26 years old and capped at international level, is 6’2 good in the air and all round defensively, has good pace and strength. Out of contract in December 23.

Philadelphia Union Striker, Julian Carranza, 23 year old goal scoring and creative striker. Has a good physique and technically sound, he likes to come deep for the ball (the way we are asking Kyogo) and actually plays well in a front 2 with more of a poacher striker. Out of contract December 23.

Same team Kai Wagner, 26 left full back provides the width on the left hand side for his team as they tend to play a diamond formation. Good build and athlete, also provides plenty of assists with 10 last year across all competitions. Could be our left sided Alastair Johnston, has attracted EPL interest before. Contract up Dec 23.

Luciano Acosta, FC Cincinnati, 29 year old club captain, attacking midfielder, playmaker, one of the top scorers and creators in the league. 20 g+a in 24 games. Again deal is up in December 23.

Think is difficult getting them from the USA. However maybe brexit was a help after all

 

I am sure MLS has at least as good a rating if not better than J League. Given they are all regulars in their teams it should be fine.

 

Should be keeping our eye on Caleb Wiley, too.

18 years old, dubbed the next Alphonso Davies. Quick, tall and powerful left back playing for Atlanta United. Valued at £5m on transfer market but can't see him being sold for that cheap. Already first choice for them. A lot of calls in the US for him to replace Robinson from Fulham in the national team.

 

Two centre midfielders that would instantly improve our first 11 and not break the bank while bringing power to the team.

Batista Mendy of Amiens, as a defensive midfield enforcer who screens the defence and can drop in between centre backs to let our full backs bomb on. His passing is mainly simple but if there is movement ahead of him he has good ability to react quickly and play the longer pass. Importantly in that role he is good when it comes to press resistance. Quoted at £3-3.5m as has a year on his deal and his team went down.



Mohamed Diamonde, 22 year old creative 8/10 hybrid. Linked to Red Star this year and is entering the last year of his deal probably cost about £3-4m. Great technical ability good height and strong despite quite a thin frame. Carries a goal threat too.

 

I know absolutely nothing about the guy, but sign him up.

 

Mentioned him before but Daryl Dike on loan might be a shout if we dont get someone with a bit of class up front before the close of the window.

Has shown a bit of promise before a bad injury kept him out for a while. Has now returned and hasnt quite broke back into the WBA squad.

Guy is a unit and would offer us something we dont have in attack. Still young as well.

Really like Oliver Antman from Nordsjaelland.

Nordsjaelland's an interesting one whereby the Right To Dream academy bought the club and use it to sell players on for big cash.

Oliver Antman is a player i liked watching. Right Wing.

Diomande is wanted by Red Star. Looks like it's quite far down the road. Last year of his deal.

Martin Frese is a left back. Another going into the last year of his deal and possibly a position we need cover in most of all.

 

Another team doing well in the qualifiers for Europe is Copenhagen. Good for a striker, and were also playing Jordan Larsson as a WB/RM.
However, lots of teams are looking for a number 6 which is a little difficult to find and therefore maybe worth spending a little extra on.

Santeri Väänänen i reckon just about fits the bill. Plays for Finland U21s.

 

Our team is small enough without antman mate.

 

I was watching sky sports this morning before I went into work. They were doing a wee transfer segment on Spurs and who they're trying to move on. Honestly, makes me sick how many players these PL clubs can just hoard behind the scenes. Every single one of them would improve us.

See that Solbakken is meant to be up for sale at Roma for around £5m, would take him in a heartbeat.

 

That’s a perfect loan with an option for me. Not a lot of Bodo players have left and done well, he’s failed at Roma and tried to be shifted quickly, apparently we had contact previously… year with a £5m option, maybe even £6m to make it a sweet deal for Roma.

if he doesn’t show he can do outwith the Artic then we’re fine, if he shows he can do what he done to us, we’re better.

Because it’s a good fee, hows the wages though

 

I see Nottingham Forest are close to signing Tavares from Arsenal. Wouldn't have minded Harry Toffolo as a loan to buy option but I see he has a betting ban incoming.

Would have been a cracking option to have at left back.
