First time round he improved the team he inherited. Brown, Forrest, Armstrong, McGregor, Tierney, Rogic, Roberts.

The only real signings of note who made a difference were Sinclair and Dembele. They were injections of quality we needed and they both played an enormous role in our success but the rest of the team was already there.

The problem this time is that there haven't been any proper quality signings at all. And the players he's inherited with the exception of Kyogo, Johnston, CCV, Hatate, McGregor - are so far below par its scary.

Dembele wasn't even his signing. Really how much can you improve a team that won 5 out of 6 domestic trophies? Seems to be regression rather than improvement from every player in the first 11 just now.

Dembele we were working on for 6 months or so before Rodgers but it was pie in the sky, hopeful, trying our hardest when it wouldn’t happen. Then Rodgers took over and had the reputation to seal that deal, and it was Rodgers that made it happen even though we’d spent a long time trying to make it happen.

That was Rodgers in every sense that made it happen. Rather ironically, cos Dembele * hates him now.

Has the transfer window been good enough?

I’ve already said the team should have had enough to win the game today. There’s a toxic atmosphere around the club right now because the support was split on appointing him. The only way to alleviate that was to invest heavily to take us on.

We are weaker than we are last season. That’s a * fact. Don’t even know what you’re yittering on about. I literally said it’s not good enough and Rodgers needs to take his share of the blame.

As much as I hate the * now, Ntcham made an impact, not enough as he should but he did.

And he also signed Eddy. Who was a huge impact.

The subs were absolutely baffling to me today ... I hope he pulls a result out his * at Ibrox but I would bite your hand off for a draw with how we're playing.

    Totally scunnered with todays performance.

Honestly, transfer window probably has been good enough bolstering the team that we already had. Jota is a massive gaping hole having left, but how can we expect to replace that outwith the same style we got Jota in the first place, a talented young player that stood up to be something else.

For all we know that’s Yang.

So it’s not the backing for me, it’s the coaching and tactics.

The first 3 subs is exactly what I was shouting for, well not AJ going off but soon as it said 3 I said it’d be AJ for fitness. And I’m actually glad to see BR doing that, he could have kept him on because he was one of few effective out there. But he took care of his health and fitness, he’s neglected that before at us and its been my biggest resentment to him.

And that's the problem. What he has at his disposal right now isn't good enough..

Ok we have some injuries that aren't helping that but there's so much wrong with our side..

    Lack of creativity/flair
    Lack of height
    Lack of physicality
    Lack of mobility
    Lack of depth

I feel like @The Prof is probably right and he does need some of his own signings in. He's came in to a winning side that was drilled for 2 years in to playing a certain way under the old manager..

That isn't easy to change. It's why it's criminal there hasn't been any game changing types in the door as soon as Jota was gone..

Now we're seeing the results of a squad that can't really get to grips with the suddenly having to change how they were playing....and a coach who seems to be struggling to get them to do what he wants yet..

We just have to hope we can rectify a lot of that this week and start motoring very soon. It's more hope than confidence now though..

So, you’re genuinely happy with our transfer business so far?

Bearing in mind we haven’t even addressed the problem areas we had last season (GK, LB, CM) and have lost another CM, half of our first choice centre back pairing and our star winger?

He needs punted, now, and shouldn't haven't even appointed to begin with. A lazy appointment and I don't understand his insistence on not wanting to fork out the money. His subs are *, and his tactics are not very idenfitable at the moment. Fact is, Ange left us in a powerful position and he couldn't even entice the backroom down south. It is incredible how far we have regressed. We lost too much quality (Jota, Mooy, and Starfelt) and replaced them with only raw talent, instead of trying to push on to make a statement in Europe. Very angry and disappointed.

I’d say it should be good enough to be showing far more than we have yet.

Jota’s a loss that can’t be directly replaced like for like for me, and there’s no way around that, but I have faith in Abada stepping up to the mark and nows the time for him to do it. Yang looks good, by all accounts we’ve got another winger coming in.

We’ve signed two CB’s for the same price as we did Starfelt, so we’ve backed the manager there.

We need a LB now definitely but that wasn’t a problem place last season, that was a key player for us in Taylor, change in the role there makes it a major weakness.

Holm looks * good I think, and he’ll nail a position down by Christmas and I’m sure of that.

I’d say we’ve done ‘just enough’, that for my liking isn’t * good enough, we should be striving for doing the best possible everytime.

But what I know, for a fact, this team we have available are capable of far better things than Rodgers has got off of them.

He’s not in charge of the purse strings unfortunately.

Probably the only thing that can’t be aimed at him, he’s not in charge of the purse strings.

And yet, he’s had £15m odd so far. Which is a big outlay for a Celtic manager.

It just feels like we’ve not spent money on anything, which is damning.

I'm going to call it now.

We will beat the huns next week. We will win the league. We'll Improve substantially in the next 6-8 weeks then go on and win the double. I'll even say we'll end up with more points in Europe than recent times.

Now let's all cross our fingers and hope I'm right.

I also think we have a glass ceiling that we’re encountering this season, we have money, and there’s been some solid links to guys that have went to other leagues for much larger money than we should give out even if we could temporarily afford it. There’s now a case of we might have the fee, but wages and persuading players to Scotland that cost they fees is a different story.
