Never wanted him. Thought we could do better. Thought it was a step backwards. Was worried about his "style" of football, his constant flattering to decieve, and his absolute incompetence in transfer windows.

Was told to shut up and get on board with this "elite" manager pish.

The guys a * imposter of a manager.

And no, this is not gleeful "I told you so", I genuinely, with all my heart and soul wanted to be proved wrong and have to eat my words.

There's still time for him to do that, but it's looking highly unlikely.
Just as @Mystic Penguin says, his last two seasons here he was far from blowing anyone way. People have selective amnesia when it comes to his first spell here.

I wanted him back and I’ll give him time but he needs to help himself here. Even felt myself losing patience with him at the game today despite being someone who strongly wanted him back.

His insistence on these tactics and style of play will ultimately cost him in the long run. He NEEDS to change it because todays performance was no different to how his last spell ended.

Side to side pedestrian football with no invention middle to front. It plays into the hands of SPFL cannon fodder.

Injuries certainly hampering him but we should still have enough to beat Killie and St Johnstone.

My big brother wanted him back, and I've been sending him needling texts about our poor performances since he took charge.

Hated him for leaving and * the 10.

Was OK with him coming back as BR's side was technical and looked like an easy step from Ange. Did not think we would regress so much. Best players playing out of position and we look so * slow.

Its like watching lennons team when he came back & that was TORTURE.

Wish we could pull oit of the champions league tbh, we will get * everygame.

The squad has been built in Ange image so there were always going to be teething problems. How would Ange have done last year without CCV, Starfelt, Jota, Hatate and Mooy. Not to mention the injuries to Oh and Welsh. We have known for a while that Taylor and Bernabei are not the answer at left back. We have seen our best player in Jota leave for £25million two months ago and not replaced him. We have known for a while that we need more physicality in the team. What have we done to solve that? Nothing.

It just isn't good enough from the board. They are so risk averse as to be a joke. I mean ffs what is going to happen in Europe with that team. I dred to think.

Nothing today was the board's fault.

Today and against Kilmarnock was down to the tactics or lack thereof. The players on that pitch should have been more than good enough, the fact that it was 60 Min bang on before any changes reeks of the old Rodgers * we used to moan about, be * brave and * do something about it. So far he's came in and gotten rid of all the things that made us good last year, the speed of play, the runs in attack, the overload on midfield with the fullbacks.

He needs to drop the * ego, put back the things that work and then improve on them rather than test it up to play his miserable slow * with * all output.

He's already burned the goodwill by getting us put out of a cup and dropping points already, at home to one of the relegation favourites.

I'm not going to shout sack the * but he better * buck up and start * improving.

Make the * moves in the market stop being hung up on a couple of * that might come to us, move the * on and sign some one that wants to be here that will make a * difference. And * fox whatever the * he's doing in training that's injuring everycunt and making us worse

Already dreading this season. Stale football and a dross squad.

There’s a reason Leicester punted him, as it turns out.

Indeed, a lack of blockbuster signings didn't ruin the start of the season. Rodgers, and possibly the fitness/medical staff did. He certainly thought the league was going to be like last time. Two major slaps hit him in the face, and there's a kick in the baws scheduled to land on the 3. of September.

I've no coaching badges, but I think I'd be able to apply common sense to do better with this team than he could. That being said, I think we need to start thinking about Knutsen of Bodo.

The backbone of Ange team was Kyogo, CCV, McGregor, Jota and Hatate. 3 are not available to us now so for me that does mitigate things somewhat. But how anyone can say the board have not royally * up this summer so far is beyond me. Have we signed one player that we immediately thought would really improve us? Of course not. We still punt around the 2-3 million mark. Under Ange last year we had similar games where we scored last minute winners. Usually on the strength of our bench. Today we were relying on Forrest and Bernabei to turn the tide. I mean come on to *. That is pathetic.

We have the money. We should be pushing on to improve. But as usual we don't and this time the chickens will come home to roost. Out of the League Cup in August. A loss at the Bigotdome next week is unthinkable to me as things could get very nasty very quickly.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers admitted it was clear they need to bring in new signings to improve the team after a goalless home draw with St Johnstone.

The hosts failed to score in consecutive domestic games for the first time since May 2018, when they did so soon after winning the title for the second time under Rodgers.

Celtic delivered another flat display following their 1-0 defeat in the Viaplay Cup at Kilmarnock to allow Rangers to cut their deficit on the cinch Premiership champions to a point before next Sunday’s Ibrox derby.

Matt O’Riley forced a hat-trick of impressive stops from Dimitar Mitov, but Celtic largely struggled to test the Saints goalkeeper and Joe Hart pulled off excellent second-half saves from debutant Dara Costelloe and substitute Stevie May.

Rodgers pinpointed the performance of summer signing Yang Hyun-jun as one of the positives along the return of Alistair Johnston, but he admitted they deserved to be booed off.

Swedish centre-back Gustaf Lagerbielke was the only other summer arrival to start and Rodgers is looking for new players ahead of Friday’s deadline that can hit the ground running after the club signed largely inexperienced players since his arrival.

When asked if he expected incomings, Rodgers said: “Hopefully. I think it’s clear… I have said before we have improved the squad with some of the players we have brought in, but we have lost starters. So we need to improve the team.

And it’s always a challenge coming off the back of a season where you have won the treble.

“You have got to go again the following season where there is a greater expectation on you and more pressure.

“The fans will expect and rightly so. They were disappointed after the game and I am fully aware that if you draw at home to St Johnstone you deserve that bit of stick.

“There’s no numbers. I spoke with the club when I first came in and assessed the squad and we just need to improve that quality.

It’s clear, if you see the team. When you look back at my first time here; the team was dynamic, it was fast, it was quick, got through the lines very quickly, created chances, scored goals.

“This is what we will eventually get to here, but we are missing certain profiles. Hopefully, we can bring that into the squad and obviously be a lot cleaner and quicker in our play.”

The performance will further concern fans ahead of the meeting with Rangers, but Rodgers said: “Listen, when you are playing Rangers, whether you are home and away, it’s the easiest game ever as a manager in terms of motivation and commitment because it’s an obligation. You don’t have a choice in any game, and in particular in that game.

“It’s a disappointment, it feels like a loss when you don’t win, but the point might prove important for us at the end of the season.

“But the expectation when you are playing here is to win and we need to do more to do that.”

How much did he rely on his No.2 Chris Davies. They had been together for a very long time before parting ways after Leicester, ironically Davies is now with Ange at Spurs. It all seems to be going pear shaped in a way that it didn’t when Rodgers and Davies were here a few years ago. Rodgers doesn’t look as up for it than he did the first time around, somethings not right. If he can’t get in the players he had hoped for he may be wondering what he has got himself into, especially with his ‘I’ll definitely be here for 3 years’ quote.

Suppose he's never going to admit his style of play is also killing us.

We all know the squad needs improving but there's zero excuses for dropping points at home to that muck we played earlier. Fuckall..

That's just a ridiculous statement saying he relied on Davis lol. Just daft! As much as I dislike him, he didn't get to where he is today with relying on his no2. Behave yourself!

We already knew at the start of the summer that the squad needed improving, instead we signed more project signings and failed to address the areas we badly needed to strengthen.

When he made the first 3 subs, I was satisfied. But pulling off Yang was a blunder- a major one. The kid's young, he should be able to do a full 90. He was killing St Johnstone in every way except scoring. A baffling sub a logical person does not make.

Part in bold, they absolutely need held to account for the start we’ve had this summer.

They appointed him, we’ve spent on projects again, let’s be honest first 5 signings have not been Rogers at all.

But the rest of it I agree with but the board have to take some blame and accountability,
