It’s August 2023. We are 2 points clear in the league. Wise up ffs and untwist your knickers. Where have you been the last 20 years? You honestly think we are gonna stop our dominance after a shaky start to the season? We’ve been in worse situations this time of year and came out winners.

It's all part of let's ensure the huns don't go out of business to enable the "Old Firm model" to continue - you know, "the balance of power shifting" type thing. We could have buried them if we pursued the 5 way agreement issue but we never and we could have signed 4 or 5 good players with the money we have in the bank to destroy them this season but we haven't and we are now getting results like today's. The future looks bleak

 

I hoped he'd be gone by 5pm, so the new guy or girl could have a few days of the transfer window.

 

Can we forfeit the CL this year? I'm honestly petrified of entering the competition now.

The only thing that surprises me is that after over 40 years supporting Celtic I'm still surprised when we basically sabotage ourselves. A few months back we were in a great place, perfectly positioned to at least attempt to kick-on and improve in Europe. Excellent manager, some really good players with a decent nucleus with which to create a strong squad, a good atmosphere running through the club and support and plenty of money in the bank with more guaranteed to come. Look at us now. Ange leaving was nobodies fault but our recruitment and squad management has been scandalous. As another member rightly said, why pay all that money to bring Rodgers back just to lumber him with players who aren't good enough? As a very bare minimum we should be no weaker than last season yet we certainly are. The worst thing is that of the positions that needed most attention ie GK, LB, CB and CM only the CB one has been addressed as we approach the final week of the transfer-window. How many times have we said on here "quality not quantity"? yet again we are back with a situation where we have a squad big on numbers but lacking in players who can do a capable job. We became complacent and a little arrogant when we were going for 10IAR and it came back to bite us, I hope we're not witnessing a repeat.

Since then nothing has changed and Brendan is still giving it the old "hopefully" and "possibly".
