Asleep at the wheel and if you dont back the manager this is what happens. Losing Jota was a massive blow and we were not proactive enough in getting a replacement. CCV, Starfelt, Jota and Hatate all missing from last years team. Not good enough.

 

Another * weekend ruined another * week ruined!

Even if we sign another 4 players and go on to win a double, serious, serious questions need to be asked of Nicholson and Lawell JR.

We knew Ange was leaving early June, we signed Rodgers late June and lost Jota mid July.

To have signed 2 players in the last month, both of which are CB's, and not to have replaced Jota yet is astoundingly inept.

What was the issue? Did Rodgers try and Demand EPL only players? Did the board try and force more projects like Hyeok and Tilio on Rodgers? Did we think the squad was more than good enough?

Or is it more likely that we ran everything transfer wise through Ange? It's looking far more likely to be this.

No matter the answer, and even if we pump the huns next week, serious, serious questions need to be asked.

 

It's ok though everyone as the window hasn't shut yet and we can go back and replay the last couple of games.

We gambled the cup last week no having players in and being significantly weaker....and it bit us on the *..

We had an even weaker starting lineup a week later in the league, gambled and it's done us badly again. Putting us on the back foot going to these * next week with the real possibility of them going above us..

An absolute * disgrace considering the position we were in. Inexcusable..

 

There won't be any miracles btw.

We may get one or two more in but they'll be in the fairly standard range that we could likely have brought in earlier and whose abilities are more hopeful than certain.

All this talk of us waiting to bring in the sort of players who are first team ready and who would be game changers at 8-10m+ is delusional *. We're not getting near players like that and we were never going to. There's no indication the club intends to scale up our ambitions so this was always pie-in-the-sky stuff.

Europe will be a complete humiliation but we're used to that now so I don't think many will care.

Domestically I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if this turns into an ugly repeat of the Covid season.

 

If that's the way football makes you feel maybe you should consider tapping out.

I * love Celtic but they'll never ever ruin my weekend or week. What a * life that would be to lead.

What Rodgers is correct about is the fact the squad is significantly weaker when it should be stronger.

Don’t underestimate the absence of mooy. Our best last season was when he was at his best.

we need shot of a midfielder and need to go big there also.
