If he does, he may need to start him at Ibrox!

Would prefer a younger keeper to Dubravka tbh but would take him at this point.

Probably a year loan for Dubravka? Would sort us out this season at least for Europe.

GK is too crucial of a position to sort with a loan. We're looking for a main GK, not cover. Either Dubravka comes on a full-term deal or not at all.

Yeah but say right now this late in the window if we couldn’t get a permanent could loan him and thoughout the course of the year or in January try recruit a permanent one. Would rather permanent myself but clear we need someone in this window whichever way they come

I really hope we pull something out the bag for centre mid. Surely Rodgers can see it.

    Even Doyle on loan.

If it was a LW or even LB, okay. But GK is a player that has unique responsibilities in commanding the defense. There must be stability in that position.

Never understand why some people just default to no way not good enough at the idea of loan signings like we're somehow above it, yeah we've had expensive ones that haven't worked out like Duffy, but Jota and CCV were obviously huge successes on loan, and in Rodgers first stint we had Edouard and Roberts, or big Forster twice.

It's a really useful part of the market, as long as you don't rely on it too heavily, but one or two a season is absolutely fine.

So Palma and Dubravka are the rumours? Who is the mystery left back? Better not be wee Izzy again!

Yeah we’d all rather permanents but if it’s the case of getting a certain player in to boost us or not get him I’d always rather the player in. Whatever enhances the squad I’ll be happy with even though would obviously rather a perm. Majority of clubs get loans most seasons nothing wrong with it

The board have played a blinder with what we would now accept in this window.

I get what you mean but say it’s a case of we can get dubravka or livakovic say on loan for the year or not get them at all and stick with hart for the year, would you rather just stick with hart? I’d rather a stronger team personally and it would also be a stopgap while recruitment team identifies a couple targets for a permanent move next window or for when the loan expires

Dubravka on loan with an option to buy is the dream.

Actually hes 34 so maybe not.

Better buy a 26-year old GK who's first choice for some MLS side or something. In your hypothetical situation, I'd stick with Hart.

Really? Even if he’s a bigger liability, worse with the ball at his feet and more likely to concede goals and contribute to us dropping points etc? To me that’s a bit mad, even with a loan we’d still have hart and whoever is better plays. I’d rather the younger first choice keeper myself but at this stage in the window perhaps it’s not an option. We’re still not certain who the gk is whether it is dubravka so hopefully it’s someone quality on a permanent but if not I’d take dubravka on loan all day rather than stick with hart

I agree with BR completely, we need quality over quantity.

Instead of signing a £3m player a £3.5m there we should be signing 3-4 £7m players using the Jota money and cash we currently have.

This would give us a new spine of top quality players for Brendan to work with to compliment the good players we already have.

Considering how slow we seem to be in identifying targets, we could be left scrambling for a GK if we go with your scenario, and Dubravka's loan ends.

We’d have a year to identify one…. Rather than less than 2 weeks……………………

Dubravka on loan would be a slap in the face.

34 year old GK on loan. Crikey.

    Need stability in that position.
