    Sorry Peter

You'll be sitting wanking away at the thought of your upcoming bonus.

Mate for all people on here hate Lawwell, this has nothing to do with him whatsoever. He seems to be the scapegoat every time some fans aren’t happy with something . I’m surprised he’s not been blamed for CCV and Hatate’s injuries, yet.

Rodgers was impressed by Celtic’s scouting and capture of Johnston, and he feels the MLS is a market that could well be explored more to unearth some hidden gems.

The Northern Irishman knows all too well the struggles of competing in England with mega-money flying around, but he believes Celtic are exploring in the right markets.

He added: “Very. I think that’s why you see the strategy of Mark (Lawell) and the guys, going to markets that were maybe untouched and the deals you can get in.

“You look at the Premier League or even the Championship. It’s a very expensive market for players and wages.

“That is a real challenge for a club like ourselves. Coming back here, that was something I had to understand better, and why I took that time to decide.

“The club has to be sustainable while being successful. But it’s understanding where it is at in terms of what you can and can’t do.

“I’ll always work with the players the club provide me and try to develop them to be best the possibly can. The hopefully makes the club successful and allows them to move on, make money and we go again."

The constant reinforcement of the "strategy" doesn't exactly suggest we're waiting for EPL pickings..

The only thing I can think of in Rodgers defence is if the recruitment team has tried continuing with the Project route throughout July/August and Rodgers has said no.

Hyeok, Jun, Holm, Tilio and even Nawrocki/Lagerbielke are projects, just slightly more experienced. I could see why Rodgers would maybe not be so keen on continuing that.

Not filling me with confidence how he’s saying he’ll work with what the club give him to make them be the best they possibly can be…. Would rather see him say he’s looking at targets that he thinks will improve the team since he’s the one with the players everyday surely he should be the one who knows who is needed to play how he wants not just pick of the litter from a bunch the recruitment team pick. Obviously it’s good to have the recruitment team there but I feel the manager should have more of an input

We’ve got 4 players I’d be happy with going in to the Champions League.

    Johnston, Carter Vickers, McGregor, Kyogo.

I’m struggling to name anyone after that, and two of them are currently injured. Grim stuff.

Starting to get very worried, On and off the park there has been only been regression.

Can see this season very quickly being a write off.

At this point i can only hope I am wrong.

Not counting today as a day but that's 9 days left in the window.

I had hoped for 1 or 2 this week but not going to happen.

Hoping for 4 or 5 next week but getting a deja vu feeling.

Mind that time lawwell said "there isn't a pile of cash we are sitting on" auld specky one can't say that we are sitting on a * mountain of it now.

If there's no credible links today, then there'll be no one in this week. If that's the case, we're looking at last minute deals and, the number coming in being reduced.

To go from a few months ago when we were all focused on getting a top class RW to replace Abada so we'd have Jota and an improved RW starting, to Maeda and Abada being first choice is so, so depressing. Also, not only have we not improved midfield like we thought we needed to, we now have a want-away Hatate and have lost Mooy.

Rodgers has changed his tune too from having a few positions we know we need to improve to working with the players we've got. Grim.
