True. So far Oh is averaging 1.06 goals every 90min on the pitch (6 goals in 510min total playing time all comps)

    We could have played him.

I don't buy that the correct response to 'I want more games boss' is '* you, get out my team'. Should have appeased the big *.

European interest in Giorgos Giakoumakis is heating up and, while Atlanta United hasn’t received an official offer yet, that may change in the coming days, sources tell the The Athletic.

Atlanta has no interest in moving Giakoumakis at this time, insisting he is not for sale. The Greek international is in his debut season with Atlanta and has been a rousing success thus far. He is happy at the club since joining from Celtic for a fee north of $4million.

The 28-year-old striker scored his 10th league goal in Atlanta’s 2-0 win over Seattle on Sunday night. He has played 978 minutes.

Atlanta is intent to keep fellow star attacker Thiago Almada through this summer as well. Both players are integral to the club’s chances to compete in the playoffs.

Prior to coming to Atlanta, Giakoumakis won a Golden Boot in Scotland with Celtic and the Netherlands with VVV-Venlo.

Gonna agree with this - but maybe his missus fancied a different place - we'll never know.

Kyogo is the better player, you don't drop him to 'appease' GG or anyone. He wasn't happy being second choice so it was best for everyone he moved on, and it's not like we struggled for goals last season after he left.

Kyogo's a better player but he also had a poor run of form for a wee while last season and Giak should have been getting games then. With two players like that, you play them off against each other forever, one day Kyogo's first-choice, the next day it's Giak. That's man management. If you want multiple good players in one role, you need to rotate, you need to appease egos, it's all part of the game.

Can’t help but feel it was Ange’s stubbornness that contributed to him being punted.

Big fella couldn’t have done much more really, turned up massively when required. Didn’t huff when he was second choice. People forget how brilliantly he led the line in Ange’s first season when Kyogo was out injured.

I’d kill for a guy with his determination and team ethic to be available for us right now.

Similar to Starfelt, anyone that doubts his importance should watch the 2-1 win back in April 2022 at Ibrox. A huge result in our recent history.

A masterclass in how to lead a line. Most other strikers, the ball gets fired back at us. He made sure we got up the park, same as the 3-0 win at Parkhead in the January.

    Heavily underrated player.

Kyogo is the better player but where the * are the goals coming from if he gets injured (serious risk of that on Sunday, pretty much a cert with our refs). One minute we're building a decent forward line then boom, it's one step forward two steps back.

I don’t think it was game time. He wanted more money and we didn’t want to pay him.

This attitude from our board still bugs me. FFS there's Huns on over 40 grand a week and none are close to being anywhere near Gio's quality. Just once I'd like to see our club push the boat out. 20 odd years later and the Huns still hold the Scottish transfer fee record. That must be about 18 million in today's money. I know we're not spending 18 million on one player but in today's money we could easily afford 12 million for a player of genuine class and quality. Huns just spent about 20 million on a bunch of total diddies.
