So it makes no sense to you to look at 100's of games instead of 3? And those 3 when his team is still being built at that? I think it's the only thing that makes sense!

You are massively underestimating the challenge of beating that team on that pitch in that weather (the dry weather makes the surface even slower) and with that refereeing team. You have to be at your best to win these games. Now we definitely should be winning them once the team is up and running; but you're acting like this was Motherwell at CP or something.

It's not that easy. He's in the middle of a transition (both in approach and in personnel) that is taking some time. He can't just say, "Right lads, some of yous aren't really good enough for Celtic and the pitch is awful so today we're going to ditch all my principles and play a completely different way." Of course when the team matures and he has all his players he will want to start to introduce more flexibility, but now would be the worst possible time to start doing that.

You know why: because his replacement hasn't been signed yet. That's on the ones doing the recruitment deals not Rodgers.

I don't know what happenred with Hatate; but I trust Rodgers knows what he's doing (and yes, I'm basing that trust on his record). At any rate, he was injured anyway. Maeda and Abada are not horrific footballers. They just aren't. McGregor was already showing signs at the end of last season and I already thought that before yesterday. Something worrying is happening there and I suspect he is in danger of being burned out. Since Ronny, Lenny, Rodgers and Ange all overplayed him, I'd tend to look at the medical staff there. At any rate, as soon as we can afford to do so, he urgently needs to have his playing time reduced to conserve him now. Rodgers does have patterns of play but they involve quick passing: see the comments on the pitch above.

Yup, that was bad and Ange deserved that leeway. Now look at our backline yesterday: Tony Ralston, 2 guys who had never played together before (1 on his debut and the other in his 3rd appearance) and a guy (Taylor) who has lost the plot. Why will you not give Rodgers the same understanding as you rightly gave Ange.

It's not disingenuous in any way and it is comparable. Let's recap: that back line above, our most creative midfielfer injured, our most creative winger in Saudi Arabia and no replacement yet signed. A goalkeeper at the end of his career and who can't pass it the way he needs to now. It's not disingenuous in any way and it is comparable.

This is what happens when you get the old band back together again.rodgers and lawell its like fecking brexit we all saw what was coming.and if you think this board will dig deep then think again. A humping awaits us in the CL unless we bring some quality players in quickly.HH

Questions need to be asked about what’s going on at training.

CCV, Hatate, Oah and Nawrocki all with muscle injuries in the last few weeks.

Not necessarily about money though. Professional players and coaches enjoy being involved in the game, we were the only avenue open to rodgers to do so.

In the same instance though the fact his first spell should now be rightly forgotten should also mean we need to allow him more patience this time around as we would any other new manager.

So why get on his back as quick, unless still holding something against him from his previous spell, which you're technically saying we should forget? To me it's a bit contradictory.

And if I'm being honest mate it's quite clear you don't like him so I don't think you're looking at it from an objective standpoint. You've been against it from day 1 and along with some others honestly feel like you would enjoy seeing him fail to be proven right. You'll no doubt say no to that but genuinely that's how it comes across sometimes.

People are literally judging him on 3 games. Ofcourse he needs to be judged but off of 3 games and by 21st August? Really? With multiple injuries in key areas and 6 points from the first two games. We were average as * across both but we've still beaten a strong Aberdeen side at Pittodrie 2nd day of the season.

I'll judge where we are by October before making any serious assessment of whether he is the right option.

No idea why he has such a hard on for Maeda - the guy works hard but is a sub standard football player...

Lets see how he goes in the next 10 games, he has the players ,he should gelling them into a force that other teams should be trembling in their boots to face us on the field.

That's part of my worry. Either Rodgers is losing it or Kwon isn't good enough. Neither are great.

As long as he has a plan and there are signs on the pitch that it is being implemented the guy deserves time to do it his way with his preferred players.

Wee bit of timplosion in here I see haha. As much as I dislike Rodgers and will never hide this fact, I do have faith he will turn this around and have us winning in style again. This is one thing I do believe.

This Rocky start thou is going to make the season interesting.

I was hoping he would come back with new ideas and a style of play considering Teams had sussed out how to play against us when he * off.

He's probably too arrogant to realise though.

He needs to sort our tactics, the players are playing Ange's formation but without the intensity, pressing and inverted full-backs etc..

Injuries are curtailing us a bit, but I think he needs a fresh formation for the players to buy into, as we're a misfunctioning hybrid of Ange and Rodgers tactics at the moment, severely lacking creativity at full back and wings with no clear direction in the midfield..

    Needs to sort it out.

Im completely underwhelmed just now, i didnt want rodgers back but on paper probably looked one of the strongest candidates, when he was signing i was convinced hed been promised money to take us to the next level.

Week to week though and signing to signing i got the feeling that Rodgers wasnt doing these signings, the likes of kwon, holm, tilio, yang, are all these players going to be another shved? A player rodgers had no intention of signing.

Watching recent interviews i honestly dont know where to * were heading, tactics have fallen off a cliff etc. lets all hope im wrong.

He will. He needs backed though in these final days and the luck with injures to turn. :50:

On another note, The pining for Ange I’m seeing on here and twitter is embarrassing as *. He’s away ffs. If he took us to rugby park on Sunday minus CCV, Hatate, Starfelt, Jota, Mooy, Oh etc we would’ve been pish. * if we didn’t have CCV in Anges team last year we were * usually (St Mirren and about the last 5 games of season).

Still think his fixation with the EPL is whats holding us back in this window. Don't think it's a coincidence that our slowest windows are always with him in charge.

I hate his style of play too but I voiced that often enough when Ange left.

I also expect a manager on 3million a year to suss out how to play on plastic pitches against teams cloggers like Killie. Ange worked it out pretty quickly
