I am not so sure on Ange not leaving for any other job down there than top 5. It’s hard to tell as he is a very good salesman but that talk about, “not playing fantasy EPL for first time in 20 years because he had the real thing”.

As long as the EPL team weren’t a basket case I think he would have went.

From our perspective I don’t think we seen Ange going or Jota going. I do think we maybe expected a few others to move on who haven’t yet.

What does worry me is I think we have replaced a manager of the whole club in Ange with a head coach in Rodgers. This seems to have probably changed Mark Lawwell’s role from Head of Recruitment to more of a director of football. What I mean with this is under Ange I think he clearly outlines what he wants from a player in each position and Lawwell’s team were tasked with getting a shortlist to him.

With Rodgers I feel like it’s almost went a step further in that we have pretty much said we want to sign him are you ok with it Brendan. So it’s not even a shortlist. The Lagerbielke story worried me a little too with Starfelt’s agent. Surely we had our own thoughts or list to replace Starfelt rather than an agent offering to bring another of his clients in to get his other out the door.

Things just seem off again to me.

The thing that really puzzles me is we looked pretty decent against Wolves at the Aviva. Now I know Wolves have their own issues but they are a lot better than Ross County, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock and we haven’t looked as good against any of them.

The only one we've signed who is a guaranteed starter is Nawrocki and that's only because Starfelt left surely to * for once we will do it properly

I guess fees are always undisclosed so we don’t know for sure, but even if we take it a fair whack was spent on Bernie, it was still a punt and a gamble really.

To me this is the crux of the problem. Someone at Celtic is obsessed with taking punts and hoping for the best.

If there was ever a summer for solely buying first-team ready players this was it. Nawrocki and Lagerbielke look like that profile to me, but we have signed far too many of the others.

On the Taylor point, I’m fairly sure I’ve been a vocal Taylor supporter on this forum.

But even at his best last season we all knew we needed an upgrade. It was a priority. The season has started and the window is closing soon, there’s no way we should be in this position at LB.

If Nawrocki news is true current fit defenders at club:

    Ralston
    Taylor
    Lagerbielke
    Bernabie
    Yuki
    Scales

AJ is the only hope for Ibrox the rest wouldn’t be making it i don’t think.

There's definitely something not quite right at the club especially when our captain has to come out and ask everybody to stick together. I think yesterday's performance was the most insipid one out of the last three games and that's a worrying trend. Yes, we had players missing and it was played on that * pitch but even the huns had more shots on goal against killie than us and we were all slagging them off for being *. Hopefully yesterday's result will be the boot up the * the board need to release money for players and hopefully Rogers will now see that we are in desperate need to sign quality and not projects. Oh and maybe a game plan as there certainly didn't seem to be one yesterday. Yep, still raging

An absolute embarrassment we are going to be signing a couple of players on deadline day to throw straight into a derby away from home, and that’s best case scenario it seems. We never learn.

Biting my tongue until the window shuts. Holding some hope that transfers will come in, but the way fanbase is just now I doubt they will be pleased with just one or two.

Can see why we are a laughing stock in European games as well, cash rich yet still end up having a weird transfer window prior to direct entry to the CL group. This was the year to spend and have a real crack at Europe. Again, holding hope there is still time.

We know very little about CCV’s injury, could potentially be fit - otherwise I agree, looks like it’d be Iwata or Scales playing

Yeah defo agree, would seriously benefit from signing a few 5-6m experienced players who will benefit us now in Europe etc than a raft of prospects who might turn out amazing and make big contributions and/or get us a big sale in a couple of years.

One positive from yesterday is there is absolutely no hiding now and think we'll get by. First two games were definitely papering over cracks. Time to be ruthless, Celtic.

We need the players in now. The powers at be have completely fell asleep at the wheel once again.

Honestly makes me * sick to my Stomach regarding this * once again.

When is it enough, every * time we are in a position of strength we * it, absolutely * it.

We've went from having 4 fit centre backs to 1 in the space of a week. Excluding Scales.

:giggle1:. Kinda shows how quickly things can alter.

It's why having depth we can trust is so important.
