Aye and cost us the game..

That one where their big striker came on and done him with a couple of touches and left him for dead just had me dying inside..

 

Painful to watch today and I'm being generous cause I like the lad.

 

It's an absolute shocker, the first and 3rd view of it you can see the power and the swing of it, Taylor lucky it caught him on the ear and not the cheek or jaw or he could have smashed his face in.

 

Hearts in the rite place but hes just not good enough.Its that simple.Him and ralston need dropping asap and replaced they are a serious weak link in the team but then again everyone can see that except rogers.

 

He was better in the 2nd half but he's had a * start to the season

 

I like the wee man and he's been a good servant for us for the last 2 years but it's patently clear he doesn't fit the profile for what we require in a standard LB role.

Rodgers has to be cut-throat here and demand an improvement is brought in

 

See the thing is today it wasn’t just the traditional full back stuff he was infield a lot but constantly gave the ball away.

That one at the end when he tried to overlap and the ball got flicked round the corner to him was shockingly bad allowing the defender to get to the ball before him. So slow, weak and overall just a very average player that played above himself for a spell.

 

So G40B was right all this time? ...

This hasn't even been a gradual thing, it seems as if as soon as Postecoglou was out the door this * has been happening. Baffling.

 

By far the weakest in the 11. He's targeted by every side we face. Slow as a week in the jail and as weak as new born baby. Cannot play as a traditional LB, which is laughable as he's a LB. He needs replaced ASAP.

 

I’d rather play my granny and she’s been dead for years. Taylor is not having a great time of it, granted however as has been seen Bernabei generally finds it difficult to pass to a Celtic player and defensively is absolutely shocking with no positional sense at all, none!!

 

Not really, he was calling him * under the old manager when he quite clearly wasn’t.

I’m one of Taylor’s biggest fans but unless Rodgers is going to use him as inverted role the way Ange did he’s just hanging him out to dry, he quite obviously doesn’t have the skill set to be the left back Rodgers wants.

Ironically enough when he took it upon himself today to drift inside he actually had some good moments, one in particular when he threaded a great ball through to Abada who made a total * of it.

Either Rodgers bites the bullet and starts to use him the way Ange did, or he demands we bring in someone who will come in and be able to do what he wants from his left full back. Cause it’s clear we can’t go on playing like this with Taylor as our first choice.

 

He was proper * today, but I'm still gobsmacked that the * who elbowed him never got red carded, or even checked.

 

It's scandalous how that isn't red..

Don't think they mentioned it once post match. An absolute disgrace..

Goes in with force and deliberately elbows him in the face. Extends the elbow to properly connect..

Disgusting. No way that isn't a red in other games..

 

Wasn’t good enough for us. Reinvented himself under Ange in a system that suited his game to the ground.

Now he’s being asked to play like a traditional full back again which he simply can’t do to our level.

Small, weak and no pace. You just can’t get away with that in todays game.

 

You'd have put money on that him and Maeda would be probably the worst players under Rodgers.

They both suited Ange with quick passing front to back and always being up the park and just how we played then. Everything about it kind of suited them, Taylor had no pressure on him as Ange just liked to outscore the opposition and allowed him the freedom to roam in midfield and link play to help us always be on the attack and creative. Maeda also was good at running onto through balls, pressing and getting into the box on the end of things as everything was a set routine and we just basically done the exact same thing every game.

Now Maeda is chasing long balls and mostly high balls out the air, Taylor can barely get forward, McGregor's heads up his * as the balls constantly being kicked over his head and half the time ending up in guys heading it back and 4th, he's hardly had a kick in the 3 games so far and mostly been needing to run about trying to stop breakaways.

Theres overextended passing around the back and from side to side slowing everything down meaning theres never much of a chance for Abada or Maeda to be passed a ball in behind. Only time they ever get it is when its launched through the air.

Whole thing has fell away to *. Hart even having to kick long balls out to the wings and up the park, taking ages to take throw ins.

Strachan and Kennedy must honestly be thinking this * * everything up compared to the last 2 year. Kennedy probably struggling to sleep at night wondering why he never went to Spurs already.

Passing out from the back was near enough seemless under Ange as well, teams basically never dared to come near us as the way we played ran the legs off them and they never even tried to press us. Now we look like novices trying to pass out from the back, people panicking and passing it round in circles then clearing it when shut down.

That Kennedy and Strachan bit

 

The hyperbole after 3 games is * mental.

We lost to a part time team in Rodgers first game first time around, and Ange got off to a pretty rotten start too all things considered, despite being dealt a pretty * hand.

Can’t sugar coat that result today, it was * poor however I’m hopeful the squad today, and the squad next week when the window shuts will be very different and then we’ll see how things are going.

 

Wee Greg and Liel looked like they overdid it on the cake and fizzy sweets at Greg's mini kickers birthday party.

 

Fine as a backup, but we need to be upgrading LB and a few other positions.
