Fair play to Kilmarnock, that’s the sort of healthy competition we’ve always asked for.

Perhaps belatedly but Rodgers did see that the speed and running power of Abada and Maeda wasn’t what was needed today, it was a bit of imagination or close control that was going to make the difference.

He got Haksabanovic and Yang on and I think a goal would have come with a wee bit more time. I would blame Rodgers team around him for not advising him that’s what was needed today - they could have watched them play very similarly in their past two games.

 

The thing I'm a bit worried about is we're once again struggling to try and break down teams..Ange got around that with his speed of play...but I remember quite a few games in the past where we just couldn't do it. After this and the Aberdeen game, we look clueless and very poor quality. Too much tippy tappy for me at the mo. '*' as the father would say!

Listen killie deserved their win and I’m no way do we deserve to win every game by just showing up but c’mon tae *, are you seriously prepared to sit back and watch this drivel for a second time?? It was already goin stale before Rodgers * off the first time. Version 2 is just as bad. But the possession cup is in the bag!!

I do think we'll get it together and we'll get the quality in that we need, but at this minute it's looking like a longer road than I thought.

Knew it would take time to adapt from AP to BR system but I'd underestimated how big a change it is. It's just frustrating as * more than anything.

 

Bad enough getting beat but to go out with a * whimper today was unacceptable.

 

The season has just kicked off , we had a new defense playing today and we lost a similar goal to the ones we have been conceding , we were playing a team who were pretty confident and much more physical than us .
We had about 3 decent chances as did they , we were not controlling midfield so failed to create a lot as we ran into an old problem we had before with Rodgers in his 2nd season not getting forward quickly enough, we missed ccv and Johnston who would have helped us physically, they defended well and got the goal they needed ,we seemed to lack urgency until the last 20 mins and the held out well and stopped us getting many shots off .

 

Best team one tbf,possibly the kick up the * we needed,performances like this wont get us a point in europe

 

There we have it, we’ve lost one game and the panic merchants are out in force .

 

It's more the manner of the loss. Don't mind losing if we put in some fight

 

Sometimes you have a bad day at the office mate, it happens. I’m not exactly happy with the performance or the result today - but at the same time, I’m not going to chuck myself off the deep end about it - but maybe I’m just a happy clapper to the majority.

 

the problem is we've looked slow and lethargic in the first 2 games and defensively frail too.

 

Nah, it's just worrying. Hopefully a bad day and not one of those seasons.

 

Hopefully the showing means we will get a few signings in.

 

I wouldny hold your breath. Here's hoping anyway.

 

Our past three performances have been totally uninspiring and reminds me of the football we played the season we lost the ten. I'm no footballing expert however, I am at a total loss to see what system Rodgers has us playing, but it's obviously not working. Can you imagine this type of performance in the CL or even against a * huns team?. So yes, I am beginning to panic

 

I am basing my opinion on the assumption we bring in another 2/3 quality players (and have CCV, AJ coming back in). Not to sound like I’m making excuses for players, but the two CB’s for Example have never played with each other before and they are both just in the door. You don’t get time at a club like ours though, that’s the problem I suppose.

 

Didn’t see the game or highlights. It’s the league cup, would have been nice for the squad players or youngsters to have a decent long run in that comp. For the sake of the game and for other clubs fans, I hope a smaller club puts together a decent run and gets their big day out at the final. Hopefully someone puts SEVCO out too.

 

I missed the game… but that summary is all I need.
