Why are they pish because they lost to Kilmarnock? I still think we're the better team but there not as bad as some would like to believe.

I’m losing faith that we’ll get in what we need to be honest.

Absolutely they will try and have success from it. Killie dominated ours today and on that showing, I'm not confident at all.

I think he has, I honestly don’t see our first 4 signings being his, 5 if you include Iwata.

We all wanted real quality in and it’s just not happened. Starfelt leaving has forced our hand at the back but just look at the Jota situation, we still haven’t got someone in.

No doubt Rodgers got his tactics wrong today, but he needs the quality we have all been crying out for.

We won't get what we need, I'm more concerned we don't get what we desperately need like a winger, keeper and left back.

I would add a right winger to that as well.

We get them positions sorted I won’t be fearing a long up and down season.

We don’t address them we will be in a fight till the bitter end in the league and a laughing stock in the champions league.

The board should really come out and explain this window as it makes absolutely * all sense. You surely don't bring back a manager of that calibre and don't bring in quality first team signings.

Especially with the champions league money for two years and the Jota money.

Again, it feels like we’ve got the economics all wrong at the club.

Football inflation implicates every team and yet here we are still operating mostly at the same sub £5m bucket and, from my understanding, the c30k wage cap.

Our relative purchasing power is ridiculously less than early 2000s in spite of the fact that we generate significant income from the inflationary effects on ticket prices, player sales, CL TV money etc. Someone needs to ask the question - why is this not being passed on through to recruitment? I believe we are due to post a record turnover and yet we struggle to spend £6m on individual players - for context, we signed Sutton, Lennon and Hartson for this quantum 20 years ago!

The fundamental issue here is that we are not keeping up with inflation and our relative purchasing power has eroded massively but without any justification. Fans have accepted the almost-propaganda type patter from the seniors at the club that we live within our means - but we are miles behind peer clubs in Europe I.e. Ajax, Benfica, Porto etc

The is further reinforced by the fact that we still shop in a similarly priced market to the Huns yet before Bassey they hadn’t sold a single player for money. Nor did they have any CL football income. For instance, their record signing is £7m on Kent versus us on £9m with Edouard a few years back.

Where are the people asking these questions at AGMs etc? How can we feasibly be going into a CL campaign so weak despite record revenues? What kind of almost Stockholm syndrome type psychology has allowed us to accept that it’s too risky to spend £10m on players like Reider, Livakovic, McTominary and pay them the market salary?

Was the "quality over quantity" soundbite from Rodgers * then? Or did he genuinely think we were going to bring in quality additions as opposed to cluttering up the team with projects and punts?

Weird of him to come out with that then do the complete opposite. Something stinks, regardless.

Minimum 4 players required before the end of the window. Putting ourselves at risk otherwise and absolutely codding ourselves in Europe. Is Rodgers a yes-man or has he returned to the hot-seat accepting that he had a lot less power than he had in his first stint??

6 positions that need strengthened. Ones in bold should be priority.

    Question for everyone.

Say we don't bring in the required players or just 1 or 2 and we go out and get battered in Champions League what's gonna change next season? Us as fans just keep coming back every year like * lemmings handing over our cash.

Its not until you cut of the cash they will take any real notice

the worst thing about it is i dont even think any new players would make a blind bit of difference playing the 'style' of football we have been trying so far

    We need 5 imo

    Cm
    Lw
    St

And the outfield players we bring in need to be more physical and athletic, were getting bullied of the ball constantly.
Also would like to see iwata given a chance, only o'riley deserves to be starting in midfield right now.
