Come on mate, I wanted Rodgers nowhere near Celtic again (for footballing reason) but this makes the people who have valid concerns over Rodgers look daft.

If we're behind Rangers by a significant number of points by Christmas (let's say 9) and out of Europe entirely I'll want him sacked. I don't think he'll succeed here if I'm being honest but I'm willing to give him proper time.

I actually think hes not particularly interested and it's rubbing off on the players. When has he ever taken a job and not brought in some of his own backroom staff and players almost immediately?

Never wanted him back here in the first place, and not because I don't like him, I don't but that wasn't the reason. The reason was I think he is overrated, too egotistical and tbh, I think his best days as a coach are behind him. Also because it's no secret just how bad he is in the transfer market, and this perception thst he improves/develops players is somewhat exaggerated.

I won't resort to abuse while he is still the manager or call for the sack, yet. I can't believe we gave him a 3 year contract though, I genuinely hope an offer from Saudi comes in, soon.

Aye this is it for me, if the huns go and make a * of it (which is entirely possible) then today really isn’t the end of the world, as disappointing as it is.

However it’s quite difficult to look past them winning the trophy now, and we seen just how big a lift we got from doing just that in Ange’s first season.

 

Yep. Winning the first trophy on offer is a big thing psychologically for the manager and for the players under his leadership moving forward..

European progression was far more important to me this season than winning the league cup anyway. We need to get over today quickly and the board need to spend the massive amount of cash we have.

I didn't like those comments at all at the time..

 

Ange lost 3 away games at the start. We got a knockout blow in the cup handed to us now. It's the lessons that matter. I want Rodgers to start doing things according to what makes sense, not what his ideals are. Learn from what Kilmarnock did to stall us, so we may do it to better opposition. And start picking the team based on the opposition.
