It is cos he's not here anymore mate.

Need to move on. I'd rather still have him but need to back the current manager.

Hard to tell really. As you say it's totally hypothetical.

Killie played well and they are back to using the pitch to their advantage. We were gash but when they play that well tou need to be on top form and we weren't.

He needs to coach one of the CB's to be braver, and carry the ball forward, if this is what we have for the huns game. Long balls to what we have in attack, will be less effective. Starfelt could do it while CCV covered. They need to develop a similar relationship.

Why the * would you think that. I didn't want him back, but when he was given the job I was right behind him.

However instead of siging players ready to go into the first team, he decided to play billy big bollocks, and try to turn mediocre players into world beaters.

As always he tried to make it about him. Well it didn't work so he needs to * off

As I mentioned in an earlier post - I really hadn't a clue what system, if any, we were supposed to be playing today. The game by-passed one of our most creative players (McGregor) and our midfield was practically non-existent. Our so called wingers failed to take their man on (especially Abada) and both should have been subbed at half-time. As for Taylor -* give me strength. We haven't sorted our LB position since KT left and every team know he is our main weakness. So yes, we can all blame their * pitch which everyone agrees on but, for me, the worst aspect of today's game was that we were out fought and lacked passion. Oh, and we could maybe try to sign killie's LB as he looks a right good player.

Yeah I wouldn’t expect him to play the exact same way but even keep Taylor as an inverted full back as it was a key role for how good our football was but keep AJ/Ralston as a traditional full back.

A bit of flexibility in his system would go a long way cause there is * fluidity from the defence to midfield, we pretty much bypassed our midfield for 80% of the game.

    * couldn't cut it down there either. Especialy when he tried to make it all about him.
He's a perfect example of the kind of person we say " if he was made of chocolate he'd eat himself"

    This is where I'm at.

I obviously miss Ange and his style, but he's been gone for over 2 months now.

I'm willing to give Rodgers the benefit of the doubt regarding our play so far, it's clear that Taylor and Ralston do not fit it at all and kill our attacks, and he's obviously missing Johnston, CCV and Hatate + we've lost Jota.

That obviously doesn't excuse him playing Maeda for 90 minutes when he's a man down, hopefully the last time he does that.

As I said earlier the honeymoon period is well and truly over for him, he loses to the huns and I think people will turn on him. He needs properly backed if he is to take us up a level, and with under 2 weeks to do it, we're walking on a tightrope.

Pitch is a leveler no doubt but its the way we lost, we barely laid a glove on them. No urgency untill we were one down. What was the game plan? Players looked clueless which is on the managers style.

Anyway, * * performance and a bit worrying with CL and huns on the horizon

Not sure what youve been watching lately but we are really poor and look like we,ll drop a few points during the season,to say you have no worries about the league is madness.

If we struggle to play through the press of Killie and the sheep what * chance have we got in Europe? We’ll get * destroyed.

    This for me.

No idea what the game plan or system was. Players looked completely lost

It's looking absolutely critical that we replace Jota with a player of similar quality and impact. Yang currently isn't it.

You'd favour Jota heavily over any of the other players today to do something to rescue that match. We looked devoid of ideas.

I really hoped that Rodgers would add something on top of Ange's tactics and formation.

It was hard to recognize the players on the park today. Nobody looked their old selves. Whatever he's trying to do its clear the players aren't comfortable doing it.

Things can turn around quick in football. IF he beats the huns, then people will be on here praising him for extending the gap.

You could tell that we had never played that defence before. Hopefully, in a couple of games, we get some sort of understanding back there. They were smart, allowing Lagerbielke to have the ball, when he hadn't played a game with his teammates before. That understanding will come.

The full back situation still needs addressed, as well as getting a creative replacement for Jota in.

    Agreed.

It's almost like there are several different elements of Ange's system and patterns of play, but they no longer mesh together like they did. Throw in new players and everything looks a bit confused.

The thing is when you have players that clearly cannot play your "system", surely you adapt?

Our system under the previous regime was perfect in getting the best out of this bunch. If Rodgers wants to do it his own way then fine, but you need the players to do so. He's not put enough pressure on the board to get the finger out.

    Replace Taylor
    Replace Hart
Replace Jota (a disgrace this hasn't been done)
    Sign a proper midfielder

Then see if you can implement your so-called system. I've always thought that the mark of a good manager is the way he utilises what he currently has - can you see identifiable patterns of play, is there an improvement in certain players, do they look fresh and hungry?

Well the answer to all three is no. There's been a clear regression in a good few players including the captain and there is no clear style of play. In fact the only two tweaks I've noticed is Kyogo dropping deep and us punting the ball up the park because we aren't good enough to play football on the deck.

Look at Spurs yesterday or us when Ange first arrived. There's a clear footballing philosophy behind that. Can anyone genuinely tell me what our philosophy is now apart from tippy tappy * along the back line or hoof ball towards the forwards?
