No one knows, really. Mine was, of course, a completely hypothetical situation on the basis that Arsenal are struggling to sell him.

I think it will be an end of the window job either way. Whether he leaves Arsenal to someone else or to come home. Has to work for Celtic first and foremost.

You're missing the overall point of what I was making.

Celtic may want KT, KT may want Celtic. Terms could already be agreed between Celtic and KT. It's up to Arsenal and Celtic to find a solution. No one wants an unhappy player and no one wants to pay a player £5.3m in wages, when there could be an offer of £5.6m on the table as a package for the year. However, Arsenal will still feel that they can get him to move on permanently, to recoup some of transfer fees that they've paid.

We aren't going to pay £25m for Kieran Tierney. In fact, we wouldn't pay £25m for Kieran Tierney had he been 100% fit all the time. It's never going to happen. Ever. Celtic don't work in that bracket and probably never will unless the finances of our league/structure of European Football changes.

Celtic could and should pay a record sum for him if we can get him close to our record deal... that £10m-£12m range. Again though, I don't think Arsenal will let him go for that cheap. It's up to Arsenal and Celtic to find a solution. KT, ultimately holds all the power and all the cards.

Got a feeling he might stay at Arsenal with Timber out for the foreseeable

We will not pay £25m for any player. Not right now anway. If we got Haaland offered to us for £25m we still wouldnt pay it. Its just not the way the board works or the way that any club can work while they are playing in Scottish football. Its just no going to happen.

We will pay £25 mil at some point. But it'll be in 20 years time when £25 mil isnt as much money as it is just now.

As much as KT is a great player, i think other clubs will be wary of his injury problems.

Newcastle are trying to sign Lewis Hall from Chelsea - young left back.

    The path is clearing...

I just don't see where else he goes. If it's not Newcastle.

The only other club on top of Newcastle that were heavily rumoured and seemed realistic to me was Villa, since it’s a huge club that also has European football and a manager who really likes KT.

However they’re close to signing Acuna from Seville, so that can be ruled out too.

The longer this goes on, the more realistic it seems.

I think he’d prefer a season back up here than in Spain if it’s a loan.

Apparently he suffers from home sickness so might jump at the chance to come back for a year while not taking a hit to wages.

Is he homesick? Or does he not just like London?

He’s no getting a game, his personal life is kinda separate at that point when he’s at the peak of his career.

If Arsenal are reluctant to sell or loan him to a rival and that’s why Newcastle and Villa are looking elsewhere, it opens the door for us.

Does the Jurrien Timber injury mean that they can’t afford to let KT leave though?

Zinchenko and Tavares are still there. The latter likely to leave.

I honestly think at this point they'd just sign another left back. It's quite clear Arteta doesn't want him.

Just don't see what's in it for Arsenal to loan him up here, us and them know if he's fit he'd skoosh it, but he'd be getting kicked up and down every week as well, the treatment he was getting up here from refs before he left was scandalous teams basically had a green light to just go out and hurt him, probably end up injured at some point if he came back.

Newcastle are about to * £28m on Chelsea's 3rd choice right back...12 first team appearance only.

A ridiculous market to be shopping in for Celtic. The path is clearing for KT though.
