Given you've spent weeks taking issue with any negative post on every thread, bumping years old threads and clearly trying to bait people into a response.. I wouldn't exactly be surprised.

I don't doubt it. Although I doubt their reasoning would be the same as mine.

I.e. having every faith in the club to continue to dominate and improve going forward, which is what will happen whether or not folk on the Internet lose their * the entire summer.

I have every faith in us dominating domestically, after all we have won 5 trophies out of the last 6 and have only lost 2 players out of our squad and by all means have replaced one of them. I think we all want to progress in Europe though and we all know fine well the current squad needs improved upon.

 

Agree with all of that mate. No doubt we're light for Europe and it's taking longer than we'd hoped. But it ain't easy bringing quality to Scotland so it's all about patience (which I know is a pain in the *).

Still think we'll get our business done though. And am * if I'm letting myself get raging about * that might no happen. Life's too short.

 

Aye, easy to forget because we all want more quality in but the 3 listed I'd be more than comfortable starting in almost any game for us already..

All 3 could realistically end up first teamers within 2/3 months. Lagerbielke is clearly gonna be coming to play regularly as well before long..

I can't sing Holm's praises enough. You can just tell when someone has it and he's shown so many wee things already, he has it. Yang has it. The 2 centre halves look good ones..

 

The only signing with question marks is Hyeok for me, the others look great and Lagerbielke also looks immense.

The Ryan Fraser chat has slightly soured things but our recruitment has been good this summer, just a bit slow as well which is the issue.

 

The lack of GK links is worrying, we've shown though that links can show up very late on in the pipeline to be fair.

 

Aye and have to see if Tilio can do something with us. Might be more of an impact player though..

Can't argue that we've been slower than I've liked but our hardest league game til the window shuts is gone. We do have the luxury, although we better get moving in the next week

 

I'm Guessing Lagerbielke will be announced Wednesday and we'll know by Sunday how solid the rumours regarding Fraser and Merlin are.

Hope we see a GK linked soon, starting to believe we need to offload Siegrist before we make a move there.

 

A lot of posters trying to convince themselves we are going to do something the last 2.5 weeks of the window.

We said that 4 weeks ago and 4 weeks have passed and the first team is on paper still weaker. Day by day, week by week nothing and 2 weeks is not enough to get the 4/5 first team ready players in we need.

Without serious first team quality I fear for is in Europe. The players we have signed look like they can contribute this year in Yang & Holm especially. They aren’t ready for CL though.

Trying not to be so negative about it but I’ve seen this script so many times expecting us to really invest and take us forward in Europe for it to never materialise.

 

One day is enough to get 5 players in. 10/20/30+ players if we like.

Unless you think there is a limit on how many players we can announce each week?

 

Reckon we'll announce big Gus Lagerbike this week and then get two or three big signings on deadline day. Similar to Ange's first window.

 

When it’s taken us 6 weeks to bring in what 4/5 players then yes I think it’s going to be too much of an ask to bring 4 more in all first team ready in the next two weeks or so. Emphasis on quality first team players.

Point isn’t about how many we can sign it’s first team quality in that timespan, I just don’t see us doing it.

 

I'm calm about it all. Will be lots going on behind the scenes - nobody seems to get much of a sniff these days so we will get what we need.
