Maeda has them terrified with his pace.. just wish his touch was better.

 

Not only Hatate for Turnbull, Hatate needs to come on as a CM not a CAM, we need to have more control in there.

 

2nd game of season mate ffs can't win every game swashbuckling even ange couldn't manage that at Pittodrie every game was a grind even 2-0 at one point and came back to 2-2 went onto win it though

We've no been "dogshit" FFS.

It's clear where we need improvements but to call this dogshit is nonsense.

I'm actually enjoying the game. The sheep have some quality front players.

 

Abada needs to up his game 2nd as he's seeing alot if the ball, apart from the goal he's been poor. Think our passing should improve with Hatate coming on, i hope!.

 

Cracking half for neutrals but heart attack material for me tbh. Really lucky to be ahead i think. They must be on double figures for corners or certainly close to it but at least we are defending them pretty well. Kyogo is priceless and O'Riley (spelling) has been quietly very good, his positioning and knack for getting a foot in and how he takes care of the ball is brilliant. Their goal was criminal for basically the whole defence and maybe the pass could even have been cut out to begin with further up the park. Maeda has had a couple of electric moments and a couple of schoolboy ones, standard. Abada should be moulded into a striker in future, great pace and movement and finishing bit canny go by a man or retain possession under aggressive pressure and Taylor has been playing like Popeye when his spinach wears off since the end of last season.
Really surprised we got a VAR decision so well done for that and as critical as I've been we could still have scored more. They could probably also have had a couple booked for Maeda and Turnbull getting taken out too. Sorry for the * off paragraph but watching on a dodgy stream on my phone and it takes about 5 minutes to get it back running if I come off it to post during the game.

Hesitant receiving the ball. Definitely not crisp and confident and quick like we were last season.
Taylor does not suit old school left back.
Turnbull is not a battling midfielder.
As well as maeda can end up doing...hos final ball can be woeful

Credit to hart that half. A lot of * pass backs to deal with. Narowcki doing well.

Just our passing has been utter *. No purpose and shape in the side.

Think hatate will be on at half time.

Credit to Aberdeen though they have battled well, shinnie and duk have been a major threat.

They're more than decent to be fair..

 

Know what you’re saying mate but it’s the Aberdeen v Celtic game thread and you know yourself we can do a lot better, everyone opinions been more or less spot on in the first half performance

 

Turnbull looks like a red waiting to happen, already booked, Hatate at HT please.

Full back is a massive problem. Taylor needs upgraded on and I don’t think Ralston is even good enough to be back up.

Midfield is completely devoid of any pace and power (even McGregor looks miles off it).

Badly need a winger with some skill and creativity.

 

Duk is good, but I have one reason why we shouldn't buy him: he'll help Aberdeen nick points off of the zombies. And that's how zombies lose title races- by * up vs. the clubs they think they can beat. Duk could do a job for us, no doubt. But I like the idea of a strong Aberdeen.

 

How the * are ppl finding time to try and rinse Jor Hart in this match thread. * seriously.

Really starting to buy the happy clappers patter about this place being full of * arseholes looking to complain for the sake of it.

Our mid has been * anonymous, but aye, FFS Hart. What's the goalie dain tam.

 

My half time conclussion: Taylor and Harte need replaced. Our midfield with O'reilly and Turnbull will never work... Its one or the other. It was same under Ange Mooy and O'reilly never worked neither.

Still tough place to go and we are winning... But need to be more in control and settled.

 

Taylor is not playing well however the usual crowd seem quick to write him off. Unfortunately for him he’s one of those players where if he makes any mistake the usual cretins will be all over him but certain other players can get away with murder before they are criticised.

 

This is the main bit for me. It's actually nice watching a competitive game for once. This is far better than watching us hammer st Johnstone 4-0, with them scared to leave their own half.
