I'm sick of going into games like this woth the fear. We are much better than the sheep in every department and shouldn't fear them.

Thought we were pretty poor last week despite the victory. Our squad is worse than last season and this is a tough away venue.

    I'll take any win.

This may be so and over the season it probably will prove to be the case, but doesn't mean shouldn't have some respect for an opponant.

We have players still acclimatizing to the way the new manager wants things done, as well as bedding in a number of new players and importantly a new CB pairing that needs to find an understanding.

Celtic have clearly dominated the H2H (undefeated by Aberdeen since May 2018), but when there have been draws between the sides recently they have been at Pittodrie and it has been nearly 4 full years since Celtic won by more than a single goal margin at Pittodrie (Oct 2019).

Throw into all of that that Aberdeen have lost just 1 game on their own patch in 2023 so far - 1-3 loss to St Mirren at the start of Feb - and in that time which includes wins over the likes of Hearts & Sevco, should mean treating this opponant with the respect they deserve rather than going in completely arrogantly.

That is not the same thing as being confident in the aim of earning a result rather than hoping for one, but arrpgance leads to complacency and in just the second competitive game of the season it's far too soon, not to mention dangerous to be thinking like that.

This will be tough. Absolutely any win and I’ll be happy. With a hard run of fixtures to start the season, it’s crucial we capitalise on the huns dropping points last week.

Fancy us tomorrow to do the business. Saying that we need serious strengthening in centre mid if hatate goes. A midfield of Turnbull/McGregor/ O'Riley will cost us

How we look defensively will be the key I think tomorrow. As dodgy as we looked at times last week we still scored 4 goals and could have had more. With another week training together under their belt hopefully we will see a better showing from the back 4 tomorrow. In particular looking for a better showing from Ralston at right back who hopefully will benefit from another week of full training to get closer to full match sharpness.

I'll probably be pulled on this at full time, but like I said yesterday I can't see anything other than a convincing win for us today. Not normally this relaxed about this fixture.

We need to control the midfield, that’s where we will win it I’d like to see us in a 3 at the back have two attacking wingbacks and a man behind Kyogo up top that way we control the game and rotate the players running through, as Kyogo drops to link the play. We need to change a mix up the formation that’s what I liked about Angeball the movement of players was terrific if we can have the fluidity in midfield they won’t stop us. Having rigid formation allows them to set up the low block and counter attack us. Like killie did to the Huns it’s about the movement and Kyogo dragging CB’s all over the shop to create room for the midfielders to run into.

also playing scales will annoy the fck out of them

    3-1 us

    Hart
    CCV Lawrocki Scales
    Abada Maeda
    O’Riely Mcgregor Hatate
    Turnbull
    Kyogo

Be interesting to see if Hatate starts, going to be a tough game regardless.

This is going to be a difficult game, Aberdeen will be set up not to get beat playing on the counter.
Although this is only the second game of the season I feel it is a massive game. With the Huns being so poor but turning into world beaters again after they struggled against a poor Livingston team we cam mount pressure on them. To go to Aberdeen and take the 3 points so early in the season, not o ly does it put us back on top but puts down a marker for the Huns to chase. They may win their games at home but they will drop points away from.home. Ony a win will do. COYBIG

Think it will be a difficult one this and wouldn’t be surprised if we go behind early on.

As the majority have said ‘ this will be tough’ and I am on total agreement!! Not been much between the two teams up there in recent meetings. I’ll be sticking a few sheckles on the sheep +2 goals, even money!! & hopefully get 1-2 victory.

(That bet would have won the last six times up there)

I'm not sure we can start the same midfield as last week. Yeah, they ended up with goals and assists between them but for large spells of the game it just wasn't working. Ross county had us on the rails for the first 15-20 mins, at home.

Id be brave and give Holm a start. He looks a player.

Should have enough to get past them today

Reo on the bench if needed too.
