Love your positivity but I think it’s been a below par window myself.

Two first team ready centre half’s have come in which we needed due to Starfelt leaving and to add quality.

Iwata for me might not make it here and we have been forced to sign him.

    All the rest are projects.

We have lost Jota and not replaced him, we need a new Keeper, KT would be amazing if it could happen as we need a left back.

I would use underwhelming as opposed to below par.

If you were to say before the open of the window that this would be the list of players that we had brought in at this stage, you would be disappointed we hadnt brought in more established, first team ready quality.

We are a weaker team than the one that entered the window but we have time to rectify that. We have lost goals, assists, creativity and a set piece threat in the departure of Jota. We are yet to see a replacement brought in.

    Definitely concerned at this stage.

I've said it a fair few times now but this week coming really does need to see a step up in the pace.

There's no excuses. We are currently a weaker side in GW2 of the league season.

Aye this has to be the last quiet week, I get that we've sealed the deal for Gustaf so it's not like we've been radio silent, but there's been zero rumours alongside that bar some unlikely Kieran Tierney chat.

3 weeks to go, won't start posting negative spiel 24/7 just yet, but another week of nothing and I'll really worried.

Then that would be negligent of us, I'd really hope that isn't the case, no reason to leave transfers to the final 2 days.

That old Lawwell tactic of always better to sign them on the 31st of August rather than 1st of July bcoz it saves you having to pay them 2 months wages

    Why?

Like, I'm not being an *, and I'm not questioning your word, or that of this Monet character, but why?

Because the players are waiting for a panic transfer to a bigger club? Or were being stingy * and waiting to see if we lose players so we can prioritize funds?

    Either way that's a * * show for me.

Waiting for the transfer window to slam shut whilst some * or dickheads makes his mind up?

    * him! * them, and * their agents too.

We make an offer. They don't take it within a reasonable time frame, we withdraw it and move on.

Someone is gonna quote this post and say that's just how higher tier transfers work. That players of a higher quality have multiple offers and are merely doing due diligence.

    * that. We're Celtic. Here's a bunch of money, a signing in bonus and get, CL football. There's also a high probability that within 3 years you're hitting the big time.

Not making efforts to strengthen the first 11 because you're waiting on preferred targets is extremely reckless.
It's exactly how you end up with plan B, C, or even * D players.
It's how we'll end up with loans like Laxalt and Duffy. Or how we end up paying Fraser 40k a week in a panic buy.

I've got constant stick on this thread for not towing the line that everythings gonna be ok, but we are WEAKER than we were last season. And even last season we still needed at least 3 first 11 players to come in and strengthen. We now need at least FIVE, even with Baron Lagerbreath coming in.

People keep saying 3 weeks is loads of time. It's not. It's * all.

Someone needs to light a * fire under BRs * right now.

I agree with your post. The club should have a publicized transfer strategy, at least. For example, there could be a document that says: we'll conclude our transfer business by July 15th, and sign players for 4 positions. The lack of transparency is killing the fans, because we're hoping to see movement. If the club never planned big name signings and it was publicized, then at least we'd be informed. We should, in any case, try to finish our transfer deals as earlčy as possible.

Most deals are already agreed with players and agents it could be waiting on current club signing replacement too

I was more optimistic about getting my Nat King Cole as a spotty teenager up the Savoy than I am now of getting any new signings in

Happy with our CB's now and reckon this Swedish boy looks good but will need time to settle.

Our needs as I see it:

GK - this is a position that we need but not a huge priority yet. Hart is erratic but still has some good games in him. Bain is just not good enough and Seighrist not getting any chance really.

LB- I like Taylor and wouldn't punt him out all together but he's not the player type we need for Rodgers system. Will be shown up in Europe. Bernabei is still a work in progress but his recent behaviour doesn't look great for him fighting for the starting spot.

LW - really need to replace Jota or at least try.

    Our current attacking options are:

    LW - Maeda, Forrest, Haksa.

None of these 3 are the answer on the left win. Maeda has his uses and especially in games where there's more defensive work involved but can struggle to beat players at times when we face everyone behind the ball. Forrest will always try but time is catching up with him. I don't mind Haksa but he doesn't appear to be a player Rodgers is overly keen on.

    CF - Kyogo, Oh, Maeda

Kyogo gets injured unfortunately and Oh is currently out but looks a player. Maeda if he has to move through the middle then leaves a hole on the left.

    RW - Abada, Yang, Tilio

Abada undoubted quality and will get goals but still young and will go through patches when off the boil. Yang look decent and 8s keen to show what he can do. Unfair to expect immediate production tho while he settles in. Tilio another could be anything really coming from Australia a league remember where Jason Cummings looked a player. Rogic took a while to settle in so again not one to expect production from straight away and is currently injured.

All the above at the moment is worrying going into Europe. We really can't afford any injuries or we have to shuffle

3 or 4 quality players needed in the next few weeks but honestly I see 1 or 2 max.

I'm still very optimistic. I just think the stars are aligning for a KT return, left back sorted.

McGowan saying he would be very surprised if we didn't sign a goalkeeper, so you hope something comes to fruition there.

The Republican has said we are targeting a LW, deal was close but stalled. So, we know we are looking there.

I would like another central midfielder but I think that's going to be difficult to achieve unless someone goes. IE Hatate.

If Reo does go, I would like to see someone like Tommy Doyle come in. Perfect loan to buy for us with our contacts at the City Group.

Sheer negligence that Forrest, Haksa, Bain and Berna are anywhere near that bench..
