Even if Starfelt is for the off, I'd start him tomorrow and give CCV 30 minutes near the end.

Zero need to worry about the big man starting tomorrow. If he wasn't ready it wouldn't be happening, but he clearly is. Don't be shitebags now lads.

Some difference having a natural rb available rather than a makeshift one in Iwata. Feel a lot more comfortable starting the season now. Brendan can look at areas needing an upgrade too rather than considering getting cover in for rb

Looked a bit rusty first 25 mins but got better and better as the game went on. Great to see him back.

What a joy to see big CCV back in the starting lineup. Feel much better knowing he is back in the team. Getting the full 90 minutes today will hopefully see him back to full match sharpness for next weeks trip to Aberdeen.

    Big Fridge.

I don't think he is actually aware there are opponents on the park. He might sense them, a slight breeze maybe, a cough etc? They never reveal themselves though so our hero goes on about his day thinking he's just Clark Kent. We all know better though.

    He’s a * colossus, a machine, a robot, a beast of a man.

During this window of absolute mental nonsense from all angles I can’t believe there aren’t half a dozen clubs chapping the door for him. There may very well be tbh but soon as the window shuts we’re the winners.

Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt built a formidable defensive partnership at Celticbut now it's time for a change.

The American has a new buddy at the back he'll have to get used to following Starfelt's move to Celta Vigo earlier this week. The Swede completed his move to La Liga after Brendan Rodgers secured the signing of Maik Nawrocki from Legia Warsaw, and CCV believes he and his new pal have already began to click.

The pair started at the back in their win over Ross County last weekend and have trained together enough already to have picked up each other's tendencies.

For CCV that's been vitally important and he reckons they can only become even better with more time together.

Training is key, speaking to each other out on the training pitch and letting each other know where we want each other to be," he said. "Games as well, there's nothing like a game to see his natural tendencies, him learning mine and then from there you can feed off each other.

You see the qualities Maik has in training, he's a very, very good player. It's just time, all defensive connections take time and that's what we and the team needs."

Asked what Nawrocki brings, CCV added: "He's very good on the ball, he's a good and progressive passer. And he reads the game very well as well.

He just knows when to step in at times and be aggressive to intercept the ball and things like that."

All the noise about players coming in or out and our best player is just getting on with his job.

    We are very lucky.

CCV, McGregor, Kyogo. Zero fuss and the absolute spine of the team. We’re very lucky to have all of them.
