Siegrest is worse than Hart with his ball at his feet.
He was a baffling signing when we signed him and has done nothing to change that opinion in the last year.

The fact both Ange and BR have deemed him 3rd choice behind Scott Bain tell you all you need to know about him

 

Just get the 3 points , and come away without any injury problems . The bigger the win the better . I may well be in a boozer to watch this one . C'MON THE HOOPS !

 

He was a smart signing, best goalie in the league outside of us and the huns, Huns needed a keeper and he could have been good for us, it's no worked out but was a 0 risk freebie that we knew could perform in our league at a minimum

 

Signing bang average players to stop then signing for the huns isn't a smart signing.

We are far better than that and signing players based upon what they are doing is what held us back for so long under the fat accountants watch

 

I don't think many folk thought it wasva bad signing at the time. I cerainly didn't.

 

Been funny laughing at the huns v Kilmarnock and again this eve after us winning the opening game, but need to put that all to bed and make sure we take care of business this weekend. All means nothing if we don't keep it up and be completely relentless. Looking forward to this game. I'm still undecided on our starting 11 at the moment but CCV, Ralston, Calmac, Turnbull, Kyogo and Maeda are all starters for me.

 

So if one of our centre halfs get injured on Sunday we need to have kobi scales or Welsh on the bench what the * and why hasn't a centre half not come in yet when we have a difficult away game on Sunday.

It wasn't a bang average signing, it was someone who was one of the strongest in the league that regularly put in MoTM performances against us.

Has it worked out, no, that happens, could have been a 5 milion mistake that actively hurt us like barkas. We don't know what happened off the field last season that led to him dropping to 3rd choice (we kinda do with it being Australian bird related) and being unlucky with a badly timed injury.

Most likely he'll go down as an "oh yea he did play for us at some point" kind of player

 

He was poorer than Hart in terms of shot stopping and incredibly hes actually worse with the ball at his feet. Added to fact he doesn't have the experience or presence of Hart it was therefore a pointless signing.

We should constantly be looking to improve upon the current 1st choice in all positions.
At the very least with Harts age we should have been looking at someone who would be good enough to replace him ideally for start of this season.

I serious doubt anyone thought Siegrest would ever be able to make that step up.

I get that he was low risk and cost * all but it was a waste of a signing and had left us in a position this summer where we now have 3 Gks who aren't up to it

 

Looking forward to this early KO then a day out for my Birthday and no 3 hour drive to the game for a change and am on a promise, just get the 3 points firstly please.
