:56:just posted on this. Think he's back training but recovering from an op so might not be back for start.

    * nightmare having him out, but I would rather us have him completely rested and recovered than pushing to have him back to early and cause further issues.

Hatate right-back will be fine, mind he scored a double the one time he played there, think Armstrong did the exact same the one time Rodgers played him right back as well.

Has there been strong links to him going elsewhere?

No, just articles from last month claiming he wants to move to a top 5 league when he leaves us.

Don’t tempt fate FFS man. That’s defeatist talk and isn’t welcome on this forum.

Rogers will have contingency plans for the start of the season. It’ll all pan out OK I’m sure.

    Hail Hail

Yes indeed I couldn’t agree more. I think Brendan will come up with a plan though.

And maybe AJ will be a quick healer. Fingers crossed buddy.

    Hail Hail.

Can only hope his recovery goes smoothly and he's back, ready to play as soon as it's possible.
A really big miss for us.
Can't see us making any impact in Europe without him playing.

Would love to have him back for the game against the Huns but not sure if he’ll make it, ralston at rb isn’t ideal for big games tbh

We should be making it our goal to find a left sided version of him.

Ralston is always pish for the first few games, then ups it in every department. Strange player in that he always needs a run of games to find his feet, injury or not.

By the time we visit The Debt Star, Rambo will be flying or AJ will be back.

And both utterly detest Der Hun.

Not worried about RB at all for that game.

Suppose he is only back from injury just looked very nervy last 2 games on the ball. Would still obviously much prefer AJ fit n ready.

There should be an outside chance Rodgers said 6-8 weeks from the surgery back on the 13th of July which suggests his surgery was done before then and he had started his recovery. Best case he is on the bench vs St Johnstone at home, gets some minutes and good to go at Ibrox. Worst case he is back after international break and we need to navigate the next 4 fixtures without him.

Gijs Smal of Twente would be a good pick up here.
