Said it before, players like Jota don't grow on trees and will take time to replace. Ya can't just go out and replace Jota straight away. I'd imagine and hope we have a few scouted and probably waiting on players to decide before the window closes. I'd say better ones will be hanging on till the end of the window.

I say this in hope more than confidence haha

 

Possibly this new guy was second choice after Nawrocki and the club has probably known Starfelt was away for a while so put a bid in as soon as Vigo put a 5m bid in.

Or the Jota replacement is a more expensive (attackers usually are) and the main choices are considering us as a number of options.

Right now I'm just glad we've replaced quickly. I've needed a plus to this window and this gives me more certainty we aren't just twiddling our thumbs

And like @Mr Shelby said, it would appear the Jota departure was a complete bolt from the blue, with club expecting him to stay at least another season before the big money offers came in.

Lagerlout seems to be a contingency signing, which is also fair enough because the boy looks good.

And dare I say it, Queef Jackson's column actually made alot of sense;

It’s still a massive squad without them and I don’t see Hatate or Haksa leaving. Mikey won’t either because he’s injured but he won’t be registered. We won’t lose Scales and Yuki, probably only one.

You could leave the dead wood out and we are still at capacity.

 

There’s something seriously wrong if GK isn’t our no.1 priority. It’s clearly the position we most need to upgrade on.

 

Ajeti possibly a loan, but we shouldn't be affecting our recruitment because we won't get getting another striker in.

McCarthy won't be going, if he was he would be gone by now.

Mikey is injured isn't he, honestly I think you'd have to be stupid to take him.

Hacksabanovic, I think for his sake he should move on, he's not bad but he won't take us to the next level.

If Hatate goes, then we need a CM in quick I think. I'm not sure he is off just yet.

 

I actually think LB could be more important, it's between that or keeper definitely. Would a better LB help support the keeper, put them under pressure. However all defenders will make mistakes and you need a good enough keeper to make up for that.
