Sad as * this happy clappers patter. Embarrassing obsessing over Peter Lawwell as if he's happy for the club to be run like an * boys club. Assuming the worst with no intelligent thought whatsoever.

There's debate to be had of course, am just perplexed at folk that are he'll bent on being raging about * when they've no clue how things even work behind the scenes. As if we should just pick quality targets and sign them instantly. It's stupid as *.

So is that you suggesting the club is being run like an * boys club?? Make your mind up.

You've been caught there. You're no happier than me but just don't want to admit it.

    Brilliant

You seem to have enough time to post negative posts multiple times per day, just curious why I never see you post positive things about us.

We obviously have a lot of work left to do in this window and the frustration is understandable, well at least some of it..

'Happy Clappers & Panty wetters' alike, can only judge the window when it slams shut.

Look back on threads about Oh and Starfelt nothing but good things to say about them. In fact most of the players. I feel like the fans are being taken a loan of off the board and it * me off.

If Celtic come out of this window only doing the bare minimum (replacing Starfelt and Jota) then I'd fully agree and will happily join you bemusing the club, but we genuinely still have over 3 weeks to go in the market.

If we drop points to Aberdeen or the huns, then there's a real case to be made about the timing of our transfers, albeit our current squad is more than good enough to beat Aberdeen.

I've no issue with people complaining about the speed of our transfers, I'd like ourselves to hurry up now, but constantly fixating on it is exhausting.

I'll be delighted if they do but it's not looking great. I would have certainly expected 2 or 3 first team quality signings before the first league game , here's hoping they're just biding their time for reasons that aren't apparent.

Well, as a "panty wetter" of this window, I think my frustrations are being misrepresented by the "happy clappers".

I've never accused the club of behaving amatuerly , and I've never claimed Peter Lawell was back pulling strings, or than Nicholsen and Lawell Jr are trying to sabotage their own reps, as has been alluded to on here; which is reductive and puerile.

What I have said, for three weeks now, is that Brendan Rodgers is full of * *, and it's starting to look more and more likely that my own personal fears about his transfer history are proving founded.

There's no * way he's "watched every game" since he left, or our business would be well down the line. A * chimp can see what we need, nevermind an "elite manager".

I'm of the mind that Ange looked at what we needed, and sent the club out to get it. Ie. We needed competition for Taylor.. Bernabei. We needed an upgrade on Ralston ... Johnson.

Ppl keep posing the counter argument that we often do business late, ex Jota, CCV, Giak, but neglect to also note that we were linked with these players in the press, for WEEKS beforehand.

So far, this week, with the window slowly creaking shut, we've been linked to an Algerian misnomer, 2 man city kids, and a overpriced orange * in the English championship, who happens to be absolutely * mince.

So please excuse me if I don't buy the "we will see players in this week" pish that's been spouted in this thread day after day after day.

"Panty wetters" like myself usually come in here to vent during this window, as we are looking for reassurance from fellow fans, hopeful of someone either providing a nugget of hope, or making a plausible argument that helps assuage the anxiety.

I don't think it's as simple as you make it seem. In fact, it definitely isn't.

Noone really knows for sure how simple it is as we aren't privy to how it works behind the scenes.

Passing off losing Ange as not having a big effect is nonsense. It will have altered the players we targeted foe the most part, altered the situation for some players already at the club, staff etc. Factor in the few weeks it took to get Rodgers over the line, get him in, working with fhe players, familiar with how we scout, look at who we've scouted and who we could target etc, players being on holiday, HIM being on holiday.

92 days isn't a long time. It goes in a flash.

I'm not happy with our business so far but I just think it's been a weird few months and people seem to be wanting to take their frustrations out.

IMO most of this has stemmed from rumours of a £40m "warchest" that largely came from a troll on another fan site ffs.

We've signed 5 players and will sign more this month.

    Translation questions;

    What does "hoaching" mean?

Also, what's the etymology of "a riddy", is it derivative of "red", as in embarrassment?

Also "weapon", as in "that guys a * weapon". Does it mean idiot? As in dangerously stupid?

Love using Glasgow slang but need a better handle on it :52:

Edit: we should have a thread for these lol

Also if we do go on and sign 3-4 players rest of this month I guarantee its ones we have scouted and focused on to a large degree.

We've definitely altered our approach as much as people want to pedal the idea of Peter Lawwell somehow still leading our scouting, finance and legal teams single handedly. Whilst his son and Nicholson presumably sit playing soggy * biscuit.

I'd hate to work for our club sometimes and have to please our fanbase. Ye canny win.

Sign a player on a whim just to get someone in without doing proper due diligence and he turns out to be a dud - Lawelll oot.

Take time to scout a player, work out the best deal and don't jump in head first and get him over the line later in the window - Lawwell oot no fast enough
