The self belief he has, his personality and his reputation to play attractive, winning football wherever he's gone makes me think he'll succeed there. By succeed I mean ending their trophy drought, even the Carabao cup would be an achievement for a team so starved of success.

He is also working with a higher calibre of player, facilities and infrastructure. This makes me think that whatever he's done previously he can replicate on a higher level, despite the competition being far more difficult.

Then I think of Levy and the * show of a club Spurs have been in recent times. If he isn't backed, if the results don't go his way in the first couple of months, and if Levy interferes too much with what he wants to do then it could easily go bad.

It will be interesting to watch, I'm at the stage where I wouldn't be surprised if he smashes it there. Alternatively it would be no great surprise to see him fail. But I'm more leaning towards the former.

Think he's probably seen it as a massive challenge as 2 top managers did absolutely nothing there. Plus he'll have his kids futures sorted with that money. Did think he's onto a hiding to nothing though and was a bad move.

He'll be * minted no matter what happens.

Thought he was built of more honest stuff though.

    Cest la vie.

The automatic assumption by many is that it's bitterness at him leaving, but i think the points made are valid and honest opinions based on the the history of spurs and the way they are run as a club.

True, I'm not as angry as I was with Rodgers first time around but Ange did seem like he was wanting to build with us. Anyway cash is king to every * I suppose.

Had about 40 shots on target in less than 3 games and 100 attempts at goal. I think they’ll be an interesting watch when the PL starts.

He will definitely improve them and make them a team to watch. I don't think the squad is anywhere near good enough to win a trophy. If they win a trophy this season he would have done a remarkable job.

If they lose Kane it will be a huge blow.

Have shaktar lost alot of players?

And Kane got 4.. he has carried Spuds for years so it will be interesting to see how they do without him if he leaves. I predict not very well

Can see him having Spurs right up there for the title, given he gets another couple of high quality signings in.

A lot of * underestimating him all over again down there.

Rumours it was Kane’s last game though aswell as he’s apparently set to sign for bayern. Be a HUGE loss for them. Wonder what striker he’d look for to replace him if that’s the case

I know he scored 4 goals today, but I actually think Kane is a bad fit in Ange's system and the Spurs would be better off replacing him with a Kyogo type forward.

I'm hoping we don't change too much..

It'll be hard to be as consistently on it though. Think we'll maybe have to grind out a few more..

Hoping it's early season lethargy but our intensity has dropped for me, certainly off the ball.

Aye. There's wee signs of our play that give me confidence the way we zip it about back to front with a few passes and are in....in practically every game..

It's definitely early though and I agree with what you're saying. I'm hoping the new signings will give us a boost and some new life to a squad that kinda needs it now..

For the way he wants us to play, we still don't have the pace in the fullback areas or in midfield.....and we lack that creativity that almost all of his sides have been built on..

Can't possibly press the ball with two slow midfielders in O'Riley and Turnbull. If my memory serves me right, Ange experimented with similar lineups in his early days (Rogic and Turnbull), but quickly realized we needed indusrious box-to-box midfielders to implement his strategy. It seems like BR prioritizes ball possession over ball pressure.

Individually, both O'Riley and Turnbull were great on Saturday. Sometimes the individuals may excel in their respective roles, yet the team on the whole may play worse.
